The Caribbean beach in Frigate Bay is totally different. Last time, it was empty but for a few people and the black sand. This time, the main attraction is Shigity Shack, literally a shack with a bar and some eats. There are a few other bars, but not with as much press (somebody here knows how to advertise). Some guys rent jet skis and some guys take a speed boat over to the dock to pick up tourists off the cruise ship du jour. Two beach chairs and an umbrella costs $10 for the day. Locals walk up and down the beach to sell you aloe massages, buddy, and reflexology, my friend.
On the Atlantic side of Frigate Bay, we took a walk north to see what was what. It is still pretty much empty. We wonder if Marriott has a monopoly on Frigate Bay.
