So...

It has almost been a month again!  Time flies and I just cannot believe it!  We have had a lot going on...especially with the new addition to our family.  We got a mixed puppy from the shelter.  Her name is Ruby and she is absolutely wonderful.  I am sent most of you email pictures of her.  I will post some later.  She has been a great little girl, but of course a lot of work.

Skyler has been busy with dance, her recital is coming up the second weekend in June.  She is just so excited, she cannot wait.  They got their little costumes in and she just thinks they are perfect.

Brett is looking forward to starting soccer.  He will be playing on Friday nights.  It is an indoor league.  I am very excited to get him involved in something.  He really liked skating but the program was not as nice as we had hoped.  We are looking into a new place and hopefully he will be able to join there.  Brett continues to be a funny man.  Remember the superhero comeback well....He was again being naughty so I told him, AHhhhh, You are being so painful.  Without missing a beat he looks up at me and says," I'n not painful, I'n your baby."

Another funny story...this is really bad with cuss words...***Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be perfect"****

I had worked all night, been up for over 24 hours, then slept for 3 hours when Derek woke me up saying he needed my help because he was getting the flu and was running to the toilet.  I got up and of course the house was a mess.  I started cleaning up and cleaning up.  I was a little bit (a lot) cranky and next thing I know Ruby was peeing on the carpet!!  So I start complaining while in near tears due to my sleepless state, "I bust my a$$ and bust my a$$.  All I do is clean and bust my a$$ and then this happens."  So Brett is sitting in his bedroom, and he is going, "uh ah, uh ah"....then follows up my tirade with, "It's okay mommy, I bust my a$$ too."  OH, my GOODNESS!!!!  I couldn't believe that came out of him!!  I was in hysterics!  And he was just so empathetic, like, Mommy I know your pain.  When I don't think that boy has picked up 10 toys in his life!

Ayden is talking up a storm.  Mostly in his jibberish voice but you can usually understand what he wants or needs.  He also says a lot of words and small sentences.  He is in love with his older brother and sister and when Skyler is at school he looks at me all the time with these big ol' puppy dog eyes and says, "Where's Ssssiissy?"  It is plain old adorable.  He can be painful at times too.....dumping everything over and out!

Derek and I are good.  TNCC is almost over!  Then I will be a cool educated trauma nurse....or something like it....

Love You All~

Derek, Nikki, Sky, Brett, and Ayders
