Ah, a Beach.... A pretty, calm, mellow, wonderful beach.  I wish I was there.  We are getting pretty sick of this awful weather here in Wisconsin.  The snow isn't even fun, snowman making snow....It is the hard ucky, no fun snow.  I cannot wait for spring and for my pretty tulips show their faces.

I will resume this posting...now that I have finished my daydreaming.  I cannot remember what I posted last, oh, yeah...the whole bad weekend thing :-(

Well, I love the boys' room now that they have bumpy beds (Brett's version of bunk beds).  It is much neater and cleaner.  Ayden and Brett are doing wonderful with the new beds.  Skyler is a bit jealous that she doesn't get bumpy beds.  She thinks we should have another girl baby so that she can get bumpy beds. 

Derek and I are enjoying this phase of our lives and our relationship.  It is almost like we are getting out of the baby stage.  Ayden is no longer in a crib and all of the baby stuff is put away.  We both feel more comfortable planning long weekend getaways, etc.  I have several concerts in mind that we would like to go see this summer :-) 

Derek has been working long hours.  I feel like Circuit City is his mistress and *lovingly* tease him about this on a daily basis.  At least our 3 year old and one year old boys have a 32 inch plasma television in their room......right???  You are probably chuckling right now just from knowing Derek. 

Skyler continues to excel in school, she is learning to read right now and is in love with the book...."Are you my Mother?"  Brett is starting to improve in school and has actually been a really good boy when it comes to school!  He and Skyler both got a perfect report card this last time.  Needless to say the big saps Derek and I are took them to the pet store and the toy store for their best behavior.....No new additions from the pet store but we did add a new train set and pony in my pocket set to our vast toy empire.

Work has been almost too busy and I cherish the moments when I am sleeping!!!  I have stayed true to my New Year's goal and I continue to improve on myself.  I have made it a point to also do for myself this year.  I am proud to say I have kept up with my new hairdo and highlights, I am almost to a 20 pound loss (not quite as good as Derek's 55 pound loss...but you gotta start somewhere), and I have actually thrown out/donated to goodwill three large garbage bags of my "ucky" clothes.  I have been in full shopping mode and have actually splurged on myself.  I got a cute swimming suit at JC Penney's and I tried it on....Skyler's reaction was something like, "I think I see your privates"  I was thinking--Well you do or you don't??  Here she was talking about cleavage--which barely had any.  Leave it to a 5 year old.
