Current happenings in our lives!!
Entry for January 8, 2008

So we have had several calls from friends and family wondering if we faired well through the tornado....YES, I said tornado...for those of you who are unaware of the crazy Wisconsin weather.

Most of you know by now that you have to turn onto Cty Rd O from 50 and then you are about a mile from our house.  Well O and 50 sustained major damage.  Houses were completely wiped out.  100 foot trees tossed around like twigs.  It was an unbelievable site when I was driving to work.  I could not believe it....I was actually quite tearful.

The kids' school is also right in that vacinity.  The school had some minor damage but nothing severe.  Just wind damage.  However, due to the situation school was cancelled today.  What a story, "I had a tornado day"....as in "Yay, we had a snow day!".....Weird!

Thank God, there were no major injuries...just several displaced people and people who were in shock.  No deaths to report.  Again, Thank God.

Quick Cute Story....

So, I had just wrote my last blog yesterday afternoon then I was heading out the door to dance when the sirens started blasting.  I was like what the heck, so I left Boppy in the car (Poor chitlin could have just blown right out of the garage!!) and ran in the house quick to check the news. Sure enough Tornado warning!!! I  grabbed all the chitlins ran down to the basement and turned on the tv.  Skyler was freaked out so she was putting her head in between her legs in the "Kiss your Ass Good Bye position".  The kids were covered in like 20 blankets and pillows. Then Skyler pulls her head up and looks at me with the biggest puppy dog eyes and says, "Mom you know God is always with us."  It was the most sweetest thing in the world.  Very endearing.

No wonder I want another baby....They are perfect!!!

Well, Better go--Just wanted to let everyone know we are okay!

Love: Derek, Nikki, Skyler, Brett, and Ayden
