Hello Everyone~

I know my post was short and not so informative yesterday, but of course I lost it and then when I started to rewrite everyone woke up.  So here is a good posting for you to read!

Well, Skyler is becoming quite the little stinker.  She is really figuring out how to get her way out of a tight spot.  Now when she is getting punished she tears up and looks at you with her big brown eyes and questions, "You don't love me anymore?" or "I'm not in the family anymore?"  Really it is quite sweet and I have to giggle at her.  So then I explain to her that even when she is naughty we still love her and she will always be in the family that she is stuck with us no matter what!  And that she is still getting punished.  What a stinker, the things they figure out at four!!!

Brett continues to be a little brute.  He goes, goes, goes morning, noon and night!  I cannot believe all of the energy he has.  He is really big into screaming right now and throwing tantrums.  We are quickly trying to put a stop to that, however easier said than done. He is really excited for his birthday.  He is already saying he is two, when you ask him, for about the past two weeks.  He loves Spongebob and Buzz Lightyear.  We are working on his pronounciation of Buzz Lightyear though...he calls him Buzz Light (dropping the year) and it sounds exactly like Budlight!  No we do not offer our son beer!

Ayden is continuing to grow like a weed.  I forgot how fast they grow during the first year.  He is still up in the middle of the night to nurse, but he seems to be geting the routine of going straight back to bed.  It makes it a lot easier for me.

School is carrying on.  I am still not quite into the mode of things.  I don't know why I can't get into it.  I kinda feel like I am burnt out, in the class room at least.  I function highly in the clinical setting but for quizzes and assignments I have been waiting until last minute and not really putting in any effort.  Thus tanking two quizzes!  I am just counting down the weeks until Christmas break.  So far Joni, our babysitter, has been a real help and it hasn't been the big nightmare I thought it would be on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. YAY!  SNAP has gotten off to a terrific start.  I feel like I am actually accomplishing things and selling things and making money for the organization.  We are looking into a Spring Charity Ball.  It is going to be open to the public and we will be donating the money to a charitable cause.  Please let me know if there is an organization willing to participate and help out.

Derek is still training in Southern Chicago and Indiana.  I wish I would see him more often.  It seems we leave at the same time, or he earlier, and then I don't see him until I am going to bed!  Yuck.

Well, that is about all she wrote!!  Brett's party is coming up next weekend and it should be blast.  We are expecting over 45 people!  WoW...who would guess a 2 year old would be so popular!

Love You All...Derek, Nikki, Skyler, Brett, & Ayden
