Get your own Free Home PageIt has been over three and a half years since Nikita had seen Michael.. But she thought about him everyday.. But she thought about him today more than most.. She remembered the day she had to leave the Section. She will never forget the look on Michael's face as she walked into Madeline's office.. He looked sad.. For the first time in a long time she could actually see what he was feeling...Right about the time that Nikita went and sat down she heard Operations behind her.
"As of first thing tomorrow morning you will be leaving Section to move to a new substation in France. You will leave and you will be not allowed to contact anyone in the Section..Anyone..."
"What is going on here? Why am I being made to leave her?" Nikita said as she tried not to sound to emotional..
"We have believed for a long time that you and Michael have been having an intimate relationship. We have let it slide for a while. But it is starting to affect your missions.."Madeline explained to her...
Operations continued by saying,"And you can thank Michael for this. He is the one that requested that you be moved.."
When Nikita heard that it was Michael's idea that she leave , she could not hold her emotions in anymore.. She jumped up and left the room. Michael jumped up and followed her out. By the time he caught up with Nikita she had tears streaming down her face..
"How could you?" was about all she could get out..
"They told me that you could either be moved or that I would have to cancel you and the latter of those two is not an option.." Michael said. .
"I would rather be dead." And she meant it to...
Michael told her, "I could not live if something happen to you.. You are what keeps me going. Without you will be extremely hard but at least I will know that you are alive. I am going to miss you." As he said this he lifted his hand and rubbed gently over her face..
He could feel the tears on her face and he knew that he would not be able to hold his composure very much longer..So he kissed her on the lips and left..
Nikita felt like her heart was being torn out. She left earlier than she was suppose to because she could not stay there any longer . She knew that if she did that she would not be able to leave.. But before she left she went back to the back of the drawer in her room.. In it she had a picture of Michael.. It was taken on one of the missions. He was dressed as he was when they were with Bauer.. He had on a tight pair of black leather pants and a tight shirt that fit his body like a second skin. She had never told him that had taken the picture out of Madeline's office.. She had to bring something with her to always remind her of Michael..
Once she reported to Section in France she got a list of her duties.. It seems as though she was highly praised from her Section. She was put in an office and she was told to follow the same procedures as Madeline.. She was very high in command. And she got many priveliges that she had not before.. Her new duties kept her busy but she always found time to sit back and think of Michael.
About a month and a half after she had arrived at this Section she found out that she was pregnant.. She wanted so much to tell Michael. But they would not allow her to talk to him.. Ever again....
When the baby was born she named him after his father.. He was a very beautiful baby. He had redish-brown hair and beautiful eyes...
This Section did not approve of her keeping this baby. But she was worth alot to them and they decided to let her keep it. But she did keep him away from the Section as much as possible. She told them that there would be nothing on file about the baby so that noone would ever find out about him and they would not be able to take him...

BACK AT SECTION ONE
Michael was sitting at his desk looking at a picture of Nikita on the screen of his computer.. He thought about her everyday... He would go into her file every week to see if anything new was happening with her... When he read the line that said,
" Even after the three years that she has been here she still talks about an operative named Michael.. It is starting to alter her judgement about how she acts here .. if something does not happen soon she will be put in consideration of being cancelled.." And Michael was not about to let that happen..
He knew that there was a mission to be sent out to France.. He made sure that he would be on it.. It would only need to question an informant.. Operations and Madeline figured that he was over Nikita so they let him go.....

BACK IN FRANCE
As soon as he got there he went and questioned the informant and got the information that he needed.. When Madeline would ask him if he got the information.. He would only tell her that he has not found him yet. ..
Two days after he got there he decided to go find her... He had to see Nikita again.. He waited out side of her apartment building for over an hour.. He finally saw her as she walked out. But he noticed someone with her..
As questions ran through his mind, the child started to run away from Nikita and he heard her say,
"Michael , Do not run off like that.. You could get lost.." And she went after him.
His heart started to pound harder and harder as he looked at Nikita and this child.. He was trying to tell himself that she was watching another persons child until he heard the child say,
"I'm coming ,Mommy."
After sitting in the shadows for a while he did not care who saw him.. He stood up and walked straight for Nikita...
At first she could not tell who it was from that length away... But the closer that he got the more she was able to see.. When he finally got over to her she was just standing there . Her body froze.. He leaned over and kissed her and pulled her close to him...
Then she picked up little Michael and said, "Say hello to your son."
As she said this she looked at Michael holding his son.. And she saw tears build up in his eyes.. He tried desperately to keep them from falling but was not successful.
"My son.. And you named him after me." Was all Michael was able to get out of his mouth.. "Lets go to your apartment. We need to talk.."
Michael followed her in without saying a word.. She went and sat down on the couch...He sat down right beside her..
"I read your file every week to see what was happening and to make sure that you were o.k. And they did not have anything about you having a child." He said as He looked down at the child..
"I made a deal with them.. I would be there idea of a perfect operative and they would not put anything in my file about little Michael here.." Nikita said as she began to cry..."I wanted to tell you so much.. But they would not let me talk to you.." She finished.
"I read in your file that they are going to put you up for cancellation if you did not stop thinking about me.. There is got to be something to do. I just can't bring myself to let you go again.." Michael said ." I am going back to Section one. When i get there I will contact you...Do you still have the PDA that I gave you?'' Nikita nodded her head.."I will let you know when I have found a way.." Then he reached over and kissed her and then turned his attention to little Michael. And said," I am going to bring you and your Mommy back with me.. Can you wait for me? I will see you again very soon..." Then he got up and walked toward the door but could not leave without saying something that he had regretted not saying when she left... So he turned around and said to them both,
"I love you and we are going to be together no matter what. We are going to be a family." Then he left..

BACK AT SECTION ONE
Michael walked into Section and headed straight toward Madeline's office.. Then she asked her if she could get Operations to come there too. Once they were all there he told them the information that he had got out of the informant.
"Why did you call me in here , we should have done this in debriefing." Operations said...
"That is not all I wanted to say. I want Nikita to come back here.. And I want to marry her..'' Michael said..
"You have got to be out of your mind. You know that we would never allow this to happen.." Operations just laughed... "
Michael continued and said, " Yes you will allow it and I will tell you why...I am the best operative that you have got. You need me.. And I need her.. When you let her come down here I will perform at the top of my abilities.. But if you do not let her come here and allow her to be safe so that we can get married.. you might as well cancel me now."
Then he took out his gun and handed to Operations...
Of course Operations would never have fired. He thought of Michael as a son. And he was his best Operative....
"There will be someone else that will be staying with us.." Michael said..
"And who would that be?" Operations insisted.
" Mine and Nikita's son.." Madeline and Ops could not hide there surprise..."I want you to arrange it so that they will leave there and come back tomorrow. And I do not want anything about little Michael to be put in either of our files... If someone was able to get to the files then he could be taken..."
Michael called Nikita on the PDA to tell her what had happened. And that they would be coming home tomorrow..."I will be waiting at the airport to pick you up.. Then we will drive back to my apartment."
And Michael was there waiting for the plane for over an hour before it was due to arrive.. When Nikita stepped off the plane with little Michael in her arms he ran over and put his arms around them both..
After holding them for a few minutes, he let go and stepped back and got down on one knee and said in front of everyone,
"Will you marry me?''
Nikita was not expecting this.. But after only a second she said "Yes."
This is the first time that she has been back in Section in over three years..Even though she had problems with some of the them, this was her home and her family...
Michael held her at his side as they walked in. And Nikita held tight to little Michael. She had to go to see Madeline and Operations since she came back.. This was not something that she wanted to do..After all they were the reason that she had to leave.
"Welcome back Nikita. I see that you brought someone new back with you... It also seems that we were correct about you and Michael." Operations said..
"We are sorry about one thing. If we had known we would not have sent you away.. At least not at that time." Madeline added.
As Nikita left the office she headed towards Birkoff's station.. He did not know that she was coming back.. He was turned around facing the computer when all of a sudden he felt two tiny little arms around his waist. When he turned around he saw little Michael.
"Well who is this?" Birkoff questioned.
"Say hello to Uncle Birkoff, Michael." Nikita said..
"Michael." has was real suprised.
"Alot had happened in three and a half years. Also Michael and I are getting married. And I want you to come. Will you?"
Then Michael finished Nikita's sentence. "I want you to be my best man."
Of course Birkoff agreed.
Next person that they went to see was Walter. She had missed him alot.. Nikita decided to turn the tables a little bit.
"What are you up to , Sugar."
And without even turning around he said, "I think that I just heard the voice of my angel." When he turned around he had the biggest smile that she had ever seen..
"Walter. I have some big news.. Well actually a couple of things...Michael.." she yelled out.. And here come little Michael saying,
"What Mommy?"
Walter thought for a second and said, "Mommy? Michael? Is this who I think it is?"
And for the first time in a long time Michael acutally appeared to be truly happy.
"Walter, my second big news is that we are getting married. And I want you to walk me down the aisle. Will you do it for me?"
He just nodded his head before saying.,"I was hoping to be the 'best-man', but I guess that Michael won that position.." Then he walked over and gave her a big kiss on the cheek..
Although Nikita was still mad at them she invited both Madeline and Operations to come to the wedding also.. She knew that Madeline would come but as for Operations she was not so sure.. Michael has always had a o.k. relationship with Ops so he knew that he would come..
One week later Michael was standing in a little church out in the middle of nowhere.. With Birkoff at his side and a very beautiful Nikita walking down the aisle.. And of course Walter had a big grin on his face... But what surprised Nikita the most was that she saw Operations there...
They decided to say their own vows. Michael started first..
"I believe that I fell in love with you the first time that I ever saw you.. You looked so beautiful. Before you awoke I just watched you lay there and sleep.. And the longer that I knew you. The more I loved you.. For the longest time I did not believe that I was still capable of love.. But I found that I was..When you left I felt like a part of my soul had been taken away. You are my world and now I want to share the rest of my life with you and our son...I love you Nikita."
Then it was Nikita's turn.......
"You always said that you didn't have a soul. Well I happen to know different. Because I shared my soul with you.. And I gave you my heart.. When I left I watched as my world come crashing in on me. I felt like I wouldn't survive without you and them our baby came along and I found a new reason to want to live. And I knew that someday that you would see your son. And when you came back and found me I felt my heart swell with happiness. And I knew that right then that we would never part again. I love you Michael with all of my heart and soul and I always will."
Then the preacher read off the vows .. "Do you Michael take Nikita to be your lawfully wedded wife to have and to hold ,in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer, forsakeing all other for as long as you both shall live..
"I DO."
"Do you Nikita take Michael to be your lawfully wedded wife to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer, forsaking all others for as long as you both shall live."
"I DO."
"I now pronounce you Husband and Wife.. You may kiss the bride."
Even though they could not leave to go a honeymoon they had a wonderful night together. They made love all night long.. And as they started to get up in the morning they both got up and walked to where little Michael was sleeping and just stared at him for the longest time.
Michael had wanted a family for a long time. He had one chance and it was cut short by the cruelest of mankind. He was going to make sure that it would not happen to Nikita and little Michael..
"I want to make sure that Nikita does not go on any dangerous missions.. When I am out on one I want to make sure that her and Michael are under complete protection.. Will you promise me this Madeline?'' Michael asked..
Madeline knew that if something were to happen to them that he would never be the same again.. And he was the best op. that they had.. And even though she would not show it. She did not want to see anything happen to Nikita either.
Michael knew that she would help. That is the reason that he went to her.. Because she helped on the suicide mission.. She was the one that gave the PDA to Michael to give it to Nikita.. Without her Nikita would not have had her six months of freedom..
"Nikita are you here?" Michael said as he walked into apartment.. But he did not hear an answer.. He looked all over the place for her.. He started to think the worst.. He began getting worried that he would not find her.. Then he found a note that said.. "I have some business to take care of. I will be back by 7:00 tonight. And don't worry..."
When she arrived that night Michael was waiting patiently on the couch for her....
"Where did you go?" he calmly asked.
" I had not seen Carla in nearly four years.. I went to go and see her...Why?" she said..
As Nikita looked over a Michael she saw that he was shaking a little bit..."What is it Michael?"
"Back when I had Simone and our son. I came home from Section one day.. I did not think anything of it so I did not try to find her anywhere...After a few hours I heard a loud noise outside of my front door.. I jumped up to see what it was and I saw Simone on the floor beaten nearly to death.. And my son was nowhere in sight.. I took Simone to Medlab. And left immediately and went to try to find him.. After about a week I found out that he was being held by Glass Curtain... But by the time I found him, he had been beat to death.. That is when we raided Glass Curtain and Simone was grabbed. And I thought that she was dead until you found her.. I lost my family... I could not live if I lost the two of you also..." Michael was in tears.. He had not thought about that in a long time...
Nikita had known exactly what had happened to them.. She did not know that he would be affected this much by her not telling him where she was going...
"I am so sorry Michael.. I will not go of anywhere else without telling you about it first... I would never do anything to hurt you..."
She then went and sat down by him with little Michael in her lap.. And she sat there and snuggled into his Michael's arm.. There they stayed until Michael had felt better...
"I love you Michael and I always will... And I will never leave you..... Neither me nor Michael..."
And from then on she kept in constant touch.. He always knew where he could find her and Michael.. And they spent every moment they could together away from Section....
Michael sat for a minute thinking to himself.. "For years I have been having nightmares.. And since I have had Nikita and Michael in my life.. All that I can dream about is my life with them.. I can see Michael growing up and Nikita and I having more children.. But the really strange part is that we are not in Section... But then again sometimes all we have is our dreams..."
