My 1973 Audi 100LS
Having developed an obsession with Audi 100LS C1, a car my father owned for 18 years (1973-1991) and having driven it myself from 1981 to 1989, I bought this car on February 2005. It is identical inside out to my father's car, just three months newer (June 1973). It belonged to one owner since June 1973.

According to the previous owner it had done 300.000 km and the engine had lost some power. The body had only very minor surfacial rust in two or three places.

In May 2005 after fixing a few rust spots I had it resprayed completely. The rubber seals of front and back windscreens and of the door frames were replaced. A hole in the driver's seat leather upholstery was repaired. A rare passenger side rear mirror was fitted. The right headlight and the left tail light were replaced. The bakelite steering wheel was replaced by a new soft one. A new battery  was fitted.

In January 2006 the engine was reconditioned. Pistons, rings, connecting rods, bearings, valves, cooler and fuel pump were replaced.

Other recent minor improvements include the fitting of new windscreen wiper arms & caps, a new aerial, a new cabin light, new chrom trims on the right back door and all four wheel arches, new hubcaps and rings, new spark cables and a new condenser.

The car has been registered with FIVA and has a FIVA identity card, been classified as A/3 (Type A: standard specification vehicle, preservation group 3 : restored)
