Ringing in The Chinese New Year in Nagasaki, Japan. The year of the dog was rung in witht his annual festival. Lanterns decked the streets and alleys and many shows were put on. (12FEB06)



(1) The streets were decked with a plethra of lanterns(2) A shrine where the initial parade took place.



(3) The Lanterns came in all shapes and sizes and looked like several animals, in this one, sealife. (4) The exquisite hanging lanterns,



(5) The ship symbolizing the Chinese landing in Japan (I think) (6) This shrine was the Santa Clause of the Lantern Festival Parade.
