What I am doing
I am a founder member and was the 1st president of BEST Chania . Board of European Students of Technology, ,was founded in 1988 as an answer to the need for a structure to promote communication and exchange between technology students throughout Europe. It is a non-profit, non-political organization whose philosophy is: "To promote Europe among Europeans".There is now a well established network of Local BEST Groups (LBGs) within 50 top level universities in 23 European countries. These groups provide students with information regarding the possibilities of studying or participating in research projects abroad, and strive to improve international exchange opportunities by co-operating with University administrators, industry and official institutions.With BEST I have participated in many major events such as the 13th and the 15th General Assembly, the 1st Presidents Meeting and several workshops as participant or organiser.
I was also the vice president of the Association of the students of Production & Man. Eng. Dep.(1994), secretary of the Student Union of the Technical University of Crete (1995), and delegate for my University to the Annual Greek Student Conference in 1993.
I have also experience in leading teams and team working from my military service as a 2nd Lieutenant by leading groups of soldiers.
I love travelling. I have already been to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Oslo, Brussels, Warsaw, and to other European cities. I speak English and French I can understand a few Spanish and now I study Slovenian. I like very much basketball, shooting and Internet surfing, I'm also a "fun" of the French writer Boris Vian, and I have a good reputation in "preparing coctails for parties".
