Since completing a Drama Degree in 1979 at Deakin
University - Rusden Campus, Carmelina has performed in Theatre,Television, Film
and Radio.
She became a Member of Handspan Theatre in 1980 and
performed and toured extensively with the Company, her credits include;
SECRETS ( Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney Alice Springs, Geelong and to
Spoleto, Italy in 1983),
CHO CHO SAN, THE HAUNTED (Melbourne, Alice
Springs),VIVA LA VIDA-FRIDA KAHLO (Melbourne �93, Adelaide, Hobart,
Sydney �94),
DANTE -THROUGH THE INVISIBLE and many productions for
young people including THE MOUTH SHOW, PRIME TIME, STREETWISE, THE BUNYIP OF
BERKELY�S CREEK, CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS and A CHANGE OF FACE, which she
Directed for the Company.

includes, THE FORTY LOUNGE CAFE, SABAT JESUS, for M.I.F.A 1990,
DISTURBING THE DUST, which Premiered at the 1994 Adelaide Festival,

Northcote City Council as well as two puppetry based artistic residencies in
Vanuatu. As an Artist-in Residence with Darebin City Council in 2000,
Carmelina worked with her Papa�s Bocce Club, collecting stories and presenting
a theatrical story telling community event, entitled Oh My
Papa�.
