The Hermitage Museum - Anyone visiting just the Hermitage in Russia would instantly say that Russia is the wealthiest, most culture-rich country in the world. The hermitage houses over 300 years of invaluable collection of the Russian Imperial monarchy, and simply cant be compared with any other museum in the world. It is said to have over 1100 huge halls like this one, each richly decorated and gleaming with gilded splendour that its impossible to estimate a value for even one section of the building. It has 16,000 expensive paintings, all hidden and previously unheard-of works by the masters like Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci,Van dyck, etc. Each room is breathtakingly awesome. It includes every kind of imaginable collection, from glass armoury and marble statues, to ivory fountains that adorn many sections of the interior. At any point of time, its said that only 10-20% of the entire collection is on exhibit & even then,it would take a tiring 3 days to see all of the exhibits.It is however outrageously priced at 20 times for tourists than for Russians,like most other Russian institutions.All students go free!
