Frozen Lake - Nokia. The town of Nokia, is just 10 km away Tampere, and no one seems to know if the town was named after the mobile phone company, or vice versa. It is no wonder that Finland is called the land of 1000 lakes. Especially in winter, when the lakes freeze, it is such an amazing sight (you can even see the frozen ripples on the water surface!). The ice is so transparent that on standing over it, it's possible to see fish swimming underneath the cold and frozen layer of ice and snow.As for the Nokia company, it single handedly controls 18% of the country's export, so Finland's economy is pillared on it. All the youth in Finland dream of working in Nokia.
