Tampere, Former Finnish capital - The largest city in Finland, Tampere. The capital was shifted to Helsinki when the Russians came to power because they wanted a port city that was closer to the Russian border which made their administration easier. Tampere is surrounded by beautiful lakes all over. It is a historic, medieval city with all signs of a modern metropolitan.
