Botanical gardens , Helsinki - photo taken well after midnight: the sun never seems to rise or set at any point of time in Finland. It is the same for most of Scandinavia, but in Finland, there seems to be an 'eveningish' glow in the skyline all the time. No wonder the Finnish have elaborate lighting everywhere, it is the only way they can work normally, with the lack of proper daylight. It was very surprising to see huge artic hares hopping about in the snow & nibbling the traces of grass left, and they were simply not scared of people walking about! This simple sign shows how people in Finland live in Harmony with nature! No comments on this picture of the Botanical gardens.closed- couldn't visit.
