The Funeral Mask of Tutenkhamen, Egyptian Museum, Cairo - The Death mask of King Tutenkhamen, is the emblem of the Egytian Royal Heritage. Made of 11 Kgs of Solid Gold, it has been mastered to perfection- its colours have retained their vibrance in its 4000 year history, and one can only stand startled, and gaze in awe at the work of human hands in history, achieving such impeccable perfection. It covered Tut's mummy and is said to resemble his face. The irony is that King Tut didnt even live to see his 15th birthday. What faith could a nation of powerful people, have over a teenage king, that made them construct the world's largest structure that stood tall over the skies of the world, unbeaten in height or majesty, for 3000 years? The mystery is enshrouded in the deep dark chambers of the Pyramid itself. It was extremely claustrophobic, scary, and intensely difficult to breathe at the central chamber of the king's burial room. Only groups of 3-5 people are allowed at one time to enter the chambers.
