The Pyramids , Giza - A view of the pyramids from a rooftop is truly breathtaking. Actually, there are hardly any rooftops available for such a brilliant view for the tourists- this one was at the house of Walid, my taxi driver who invited me for a cup of Tea on his terrace. I was enjoying my time there, and spent an hour admiring these magnificient stone marvels. At the left corner of this picture, the Sphinx is clearly visible- but frankly I expected it to be much bigger than this...but the reality is that, it is dwarfed by the sheer size of the pyramids, when viewed together. The pyramids of Cheops and Chefren (left and right), are both clearly visible from most parts of Giza. The city of Giza never actually existed during the time of their construction- at 3000 BC,.
