| The JAYAKAR Clan !!
Let me start
with my father, Mr. Jayakar Gurupathom. He is the first son of Mr. Gurupathom (Kottaram thatha), a man who holds immense
respect. My dad's mother, Mrs. Gnana Pousham (Kottaram paatti) is a nice and
pleasing lady. Thatha is a retired Lieutenant Colonel and paatti is a
housewife and they did a great job for their kids. In case you are wondering
what is this name, Kottaram...then that is the place, where they live in
Kanyakumari district, 3 miles to the southern most tip of India!
Daddy (appa) is a
Divisional Engineer with the Highways Department.....a spiritual person...God has carried him through the difficult
times amazingly well....very nice personality...he is so nice that people
find it easy to put him in trouble...and he accepts that gladly...where can
you find a man like him?!!..a unique personality indeed...and my mummy (amma)
is happy with him...I am like my dad in some respects....but, I think I am
more like my maternal grand-dad...will talk about him later....Appa got his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from
Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) that turned out to be my Raja
chithappa's (daddy's only brother) and my alma mater ....My parents live
in Chennai (aka Madras)...my mom, Mrs. Nirmala Anne Thangam Phanuel (Thangam) is
more of a friend to me...my dad's only condition in marriage was that, my
mom should not work and she should be a housewife....and so she was caught up with household work and she did an amazing job in taking care her kids....and see where we are now :)...they made wonderful
parents together!!...my brother, Mr. Jenish Jayakar (Jeni anna) is a Software Engineer with ANZ
Bank....a tall handsome person....and above all a very spiritual
person....he had a tremendous impact on all of us.....and we are extremely proud of
him....he got his Bachelors degree in Electronics and Instrumentation
Engineering from Karunya
Institute of Technology (KIT) which changed his life totally....he got saved
by God when he was studying there....some years back he was one of the worst
possible guy you can imagine...yeah like Veerappan!...hahha just
joking....no one is bad for God...God is not a respector of persons....and,
well that is the transition from teenage to adolescence....no one to blame
for that...it's all a learning experience.... now he is a devoted father and
husband.....spends most of the time in Australia.....his wife Mrs. Ramya Jenish (Ramya anni), my sweet anni (S-I-L):) is a gem!...she would support me any
time......illa? anni?...:)hahha.....and they are blessed with a beautiful
girl child, Baby Amisha Jenish (Amy kutty), the
pride of our joy, the peace of our heart...she's a precious angel indeed!! I
would like to add that, my brother is the eldest of the family in our generation....and
one of the most important thing that brings me joy, is the fact that, both me, who
is the second eldest and my dear brother, the eldest are saved by the mighty
graciousness of the Lord, Jesus Christ!....and I believe on my faith that
this will continue in all my cousin brothers and sisters!!....praise and
glory be to God only!! :)  
 
My dad has three siblings, all born after him. The first one is my athai, Mrs. Premlatha Durairaj (Rani athai), married to Mr. M. Durairaj (Dubai mama). They live in Dubai...By the grace of God, mama is running a school, Buds Public School in Dubai all the way from nursery to high school ...i guess athai is working in mama's school...They are blessed with two kids, Mr. Joshua Durairaj (Joshi) and Ms. Judisha Durairaj (Judy). Joshi is doing Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Ohio State University and I think Judy is doing 12th grade......actually, i ain't sure:)....I have no clue what else shes been doing on the net?! ;) Next to her is another athai, Mrs. Charlet Sajitha Jayaselan (Saji athai) married to Mr. J. Jayaselan (Jayaselan mama) .....they live in Kuttaikadu in Kanyakumari district...athai is a headmistress and mama is a headmaster ...they are blessed with two kids, Ms. Jeyalin Sheeju Jayaselan(Sheeju) and Mr. Jeyashanth Riju Jayaselan(Riju)....Sheeju is doing Master of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering at KIT and Riju is in Medical School, getting ready to become a Doctor....very kind family!! Finally my chithappa, Mr. Rajkumar Gurupathom (Raja chithappa) married to Mrs. Jansi Rajkumar (Jansi chithi) ...they live in Abu Dhabi...chithappa is a tall handsome man...at least he used to be!.....hahha...just joking chithappa :)....as i said earlier he is a graduate from CIT, where he earned his Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering....at present he works for an Oil company, ADMA-OPCO as a Maintenance Engineer....chithi is a housewife and she talks very slowly....and i like that...well...we all do....why not? ;)....it's not bad to have fun once in a while:)....they r blessed with two kids, Ms. Jane Rashanthi Rajkumar (Debbie) and Mr. Rishan Jeremi Rajkumar (Remi), my little brother...they are both in school...By the grace of God, they will become a bright prospect for sure!! Next, lemme talk abt my mom's family.... My mom, Mrs. Nirmala Jayakar is the first born of Late. Mr. Phanuel Anna Mani (Neyyoor thatha) and Mrs. Mercy Phanuel (Neyyoor paatti)....thatha, who i hold responsible for most of my inbuilt character, was an accountant in Indian Railways.....he was a very brave man.....he would crack jokes and keep the place lively...he would make us laugh all the time... .he had an inclination for perfumes.....within a mile you can smell his perfume and say, "hey, that's Mr. Phanuel".....hahha....forgive me thatha if you are reading this :)....never short of picking a fight with others but for the right reason...and i used to admire him for that....any one who had met him would like him at once...very good personality...he made us laugh...he was a bad smoker and then finally with paatti grabbing his neck.... hahha....no she would not, am just joking :)....he quit smoking...well he would not.....he would smoke in his bathroom and flush the cigarette butt....paatti and thatha would have a fight later....he sure did like to have some thrills in life...didn't he?...paatti?...those were some hilarious moments...finally thatha had to leave us all...we miss u very much thatha......we will see you in heaven, thatha....paatti is 'the' lady of her clan...at least she assumes to be....hahha.....just joking paatti :)...she is the eldest in her family and she holds immense respect among them....she was a school headmistress in Bombay before they moved to Neyyoor in Kanyakumari district....these are the two people who were with us whenever we were faced with severe problems in our life....am not down grading anybody else' contributions...we respect all of them.....they were all very helpful to us some way or the other....but, without my thatha's and paatti's help, i guess we would have found it difficult to lead a life that we live now....Glory be to God! My mom has only one sibling, my lovable, flirtable hahha :)....chumma aunty :)...aunty Mrs. Ketsi Premila Isaac (Premi aunty) who is married to Mr. Prem Vaseekaran Isaac (Vaseekaran uncle)...uncle is workin as a Regional Manager/Service Engineer with Bajaj Autos and aunty is a housewife...they live in Coimbatore...a very simple, extremely respectable, affectionate family...may be that's a little too much.....hahha :)...no they are indeed.....i hav spent most of my life in Coimbatore......no wonder they are close to me....uncle travels a lot....he should thank and respect aunty for managing with his time/work schedule and i believe he does....he is a nice uncle....they are blessed with two kids, Mrs. Shekinah Kokson (Sheki) and Ms. Previnah Isaac (Previ)...my dearest Sheki kutty completed her Master of Philosophy....Previ completed her Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and at present working as a Software Engineer for Cognizant....very nice kids...had some excellent time with them...and Sheki kutty is married to Mr. Kokson, a Software Engineer with Sindel.....God will bless them all!! |
