Nijal uses a blade-blaster which is a modified UI issue blaster with sharp bits. It fires in bursts and can be equipped with standard UI addons such as ringshot chargers. Nijal also wields pair of daggers. When they are crossed, they can fire a continuous beam. They capable of cutting through most natural materials. Nijal has been trained to use a standard Commando jetpack. In case of emergencies, he has a tiny detonator hidden in his hair. Background: Nijal is a rather bitter person. This isn't surprising though. UI policy is to treat new recruits like excrement until they've proved their usefulness. Over the course of his training, Nijal invented a rather impressive number of expletives with which to describe his feelings regarding about UI. Few can be represented using the standard alphabet. Nijal proved his worth when he rescued The Boss' chief advisor from the clutches of the Purple-Puffing Cat Cross-Dressing Cult (known for their barbaric practice of dressing cats in drag and forcing them to smoke purple cigars). He was inadvertently responsible for the embedding of a siren in Jethri Alkanda's chest which led him to take the name "The Klaxon". After the Cult incident, Nijal was permanently as Joanna Cole's partner. The two are rarely seen apart. No one is really sure whether or not their relationship goes beyond professional although it's rumoured that they've been married for years.
