| Malcolm Owen Malcolm Owen lead singer in the Ruts was yet another Punk Rock casualty to Smak! He's seen here outside his moms West London semi, happy with life and the bands knack of obtaining big hit singles in the UK charts circa 1979/80. However 3 months after 'Staring At The Rudeboys' was released he was found dead in his moms bath on July 14th 1980 from a Heroin overdose! Great frontman such a waste! There is currently a book being written about the Ruts short but brilliant career. |
