| Marion Valentino The Doll 1977 Beggars Banquet signings The Doll first came to prominence on the UK 'Streets' punk compilation in 1977. They were fronted by the sleek, female leopard skinned singer/guitarist and songwriter Marion Valentino. They had a brief hit in the 1978 UK charts with the 'Desire Me' 45, that scored em an appearance on Top Of The Pops before splitting in 1979, as the first wave of punk crashed.
