| Polystyrene - X-RAY SPEX POLY...."My mind is like a plastic bag!!!!" Poly Styrene from X-Ray Spex caught belting out another high octane dose of consumerism. Only this time on one of the bands rare sightings outside the UK. New York's CBGB's in 1978 to be precise. And that's where I nicked this shot from. Poly hadn't quite yet seen that illusive spacecraft that changed her whole perspective on the meaning of life. But within months of this snap being taken she had a spiritual encounter down Stockwell tube with some Cardasian's and was told to seek solstice in Buddha and throw away all that 20th Century Bondage...
