Chitra Aloysius

light out

Chitra Aloysius - A special needs teacher. Chitra had a Masters Degree in special needs teaching and was a very committed teacher. Chitra took her profession very seriously in setting high standards. She was very hard working and was an inspiration to many special needs students and teachers.

I met Chitra, this wonderful human being, in early 90's at a function at Nadini Walikala's in Mill Hill, north-west London. Ever since I met her; we have been good friends and I have attended many wonderful parties at her house in Hainault, Ill ford as well as many Sri Lankan dinner dancers in London.

Chitra's siblings who live in London close to Illford, I met them all at Chitra's house perhaps at Chitra's Birthday parties or summer garden cookouts. All of them are very hard working good people, when comes to having a good time all of them knew how to have fun! Chitra's sisters, Tina , Kanthi and Nimmi and brother Rohan always looked upon to Chitra for guidance and inspiration. Chitra was the cornerstone of this beautiful family who held the family together. Chitra was such strength for the family.

Chitra use love cats and I can remember that she had this cat and she took the time to train her to do few tricks. The Thats life programme host Ester Ester Rantzen took the camera to Chitras house for recording and Chitra and her favourite cat appeared in the programme.

Anna Pearson and Chitra Aloysius were the co-authors of the Museums and Children with Learning Difficulties: The Big Foot" publisher: British Museum Press, released in August 1994.

I miss this wonderful human being, Chitra very dearly, this is someone who was very generous and fun loving, but worked very hard to get the necessary educational qualifications to get somewhere in life. When I met her she was going out with John and together they had a good life.

Not a biography-I have not attempted to write a biography the few words that I have written about Chitra is to revere her life for the contribution that she made to the special needs children, to her friend, to the family and to the world at large.
