THE
NIGHT THAT I MET JESUS
A
world of sin and heartache was the only life I'd known
with
a broken heart and shattered dreams, no one to call my own
my
life was nothing but emptiness,
my soul began to plea
The
Spirit came I called His name, and
from sin I was set free
The
night that I met Jesus, was a night I'll not forget
I
was a battered sin sick sinner, living a life of pure regret
I
was bound by chains of darkness, lost and dead in sin
Then
the Spirit came, I called His name, and Jesus entered in
Now
a heart that once was broken, has been mended by God's love
shattered
dreams have been replaced by the promise of heaven above
loneliness
no longer haunts the corridors of my mind
since
Jesus came I'm not the same, now I'm His for all time
