Shaman's Pebbles

Pebbles in the pond.
Always there are
pebbles gently tossed;
The ripples ever widening
as we watch.

These pebbles in the pond
go the way of water;
reflecting one's soul;
carried by forces of nature -
earth and human.

Comes a time, a day when
a ray of sun reveals
unexpected reflection;
these pebbles are, after all,
rare and precious jewels.

Not to capture or covet,
but to await; contemplate;
deserving ever more time
to savor; again and again.
The ripples ever widening.
