Lost Lovers

Long Ago in a time before time there was a child. He was a simple child, raised by a simple family. His name was Bradien. He learned how to hunt and fish and gather fruits form the land. Until one day a group of strange looking men and women came to the settlement. They claimed to be the survivors of a great disaster. They came to make peace with the clan. They came to be friends. The young child was intrigued by these poeple. They intrigued him and he wished to learn more. He would watch them daily from the woods until one day he saw one that was extremely bueatiful. He had to posess her. He had to have her. Unfortunately to posses her he had to go thru her protecter. Her protector was a strong fast man well knowledged in the ways of magick. This however did not deter young Bradien. He marched up to this man and challneged him.

The fight did not last long and with one swift move the protector had the Bradien on the ground with his sword directly above the boys throat. Before he made the final stroke he looked into the boys eyes. What he saw impressed him. He decided rather than kill the boy it would be better to spare him and teach him the ways of magick and war. So for the next few years the by learned and become strong in the ways of his teacher, and after his training was complete his master came to him and told him, " it is time my son. You must go out into the world and learn the ways of all poeples but there may come a day when I will need your help. Upon that day I will send for you and you must return. Now go my son and learn well." With this being said young Bradien went out into the world to find his own path.

Bradien wandered for many years and thru many lands. Until one day he was hunting in some woods when he saw a young woman walking thru a glade. She captured his eyes and his heart. He fell in love with her instantly. He watched her for many days from the same spot, and everyday she returned to that spot. Then one day he finally summoned up the courage to speak to her. Once Christine looked into his eyes she fell in love with him instantly. It was as if they were meant to be together. Unfortnately her parents did not feel the same. The where a royalty of sorts and they did not approve of this wanderer. They forbade their duaghter from ever seeing this young man again. Bradien and Christine where not so easily torn apart though. They ran away to be together. They found a small piece of land to call home. They lived here for a few years happy and together until one day a messenger came. Bradien's master was summoning him to fight a war against a great evil. The next day Bradien packed his gear and prepared to leave when he noticed a simple red rose painted on his shield. Christine had done this so he would always have her for this was her favorite flower. So with one last kiss Bradien left Christine wondering if he would ever see her again.

The war was long and many died. Bradien watched all of his friends and allies injured, mutilated, and killed. He watched as men burned alive and where sliced open as if they were nothing more than cattleIt took many years and many battle, but in the end they were victorous. In the end the day was theirs.

So with the war over Bradien decided to return to his wife, return to his love. Alas he was in for quit a shock. He returned to his home only to find it abandoned and empty for many years. Once again he had been taken from his wife by this war, but in time he discovered that she was alive and well and that her family had come for her. He searched everywhere for her until the day he aproached a simple house. From it came the love of his life, from it exited his Christine. Then as he watched for just a moment two young children came out of the house and called her mother. After the children came a man who then kissed the bueatiful Christine. He was enraged but then he saw the look upon Christines face. She was happy, truely happy. He knew that was something he could not give her. So he turned around and walked away without letting her know he was still alive...
