What is the Nightwatch RPG?

The Nightwatch RPG is a horror-investigation role-playing game set in the real world. The players of the game take on the roles of Nightwatch agents. These agents are specialists in their chosen fields, whether Vampire Hunters, Investigative Reporters, or Parapsychologists. The Nightwatch is a super-secret investigative agency devoted to the scientific study and sometimes combating of the supernatural world around us.

What sets the Nightwatch RPG apart from other horror-based RPGs?

Where many horror-based RPGs only concern themselves with certain aspects of horror such as vampires, werewolves, ghosts, or Lovecraftian horror, the Nightwatch doesn’t specialize in any given field of horror. Not unlike a hybrid of the Nightstalker TV series, old Gaines comics, and high-tech investigation, the Nightwatch is an open-ended gaming experience. With an emphasis on role-playing and a simple dice rolling system that takes rules-mongering out of the player’s hands, the Nightwatch RPG puts game-flow ahead of game-mechanics.

What type of role-playing are we talking about?

Although designed as a tabletop RPG, using six-sided dice and pencil and paper, the Nightwatch RPG can easily be played with miniatures, or played live-action if desired. With the emphasis on role-playing, how you decide to go about it is totally up to the players. Just remember to have fun!

As of this time, the Nightwatch RPG is in developmental stages. We are currently game-testing the third draft with hopes to see the game in production as soon as possible.
