Dead to Rights Impressions

Dead to Rights is Playstation 2's 1st slide scrolling shooting game. Namco the creator of the fancy Arcade shooter, Time Crisis and Time Crisis 2. Dead to Rights has the same concept but with better and more polished graphics. Not to say that graphics in the last few years had their own realism. For an example, Area 51 had cut outs of real human figures and wasn't the best graphically defined game but it still looked 3D. Interesting enough some of the oddest shooters are made from Fox Interactive. Dead to Rights is mostly centered around Japan and made for the Japanese community. You can tell since the main character is anime (and looks like that guy from Tekken Tournament) and the signs are writen in Japanese. And the enemies look like anime. The game is ofcourse modifide for the PS2 controller. Namco is releasing there 3rd party lightgun for PS2, the Guncon 2 which is made for Dead to Rights. This makes the game so much cooler with a aim and shoot stradegy. Do I think you should get this game. No I don't. X-Box is coming out with Dead for Rights also. And Sega is coming out with 3 exclusive shooters, House of the Dead 3, GUNVALKYRIE, and a Namco/Sega vampire game that is unknown to me. So I personally would get a gamecube and not get the game, or get an X-BOX and get the Dead to Rights port.

Skies of Acadia for PS2

Sega has planned some interesting titles for playstation 2. Skies of Acadia was one of the big RPGS to hit the Dreamcast 2 years ago. However Sega had other plans when they knew that they couldn't hold on the Dreamcast for much longer. Sega then made a company decision to transform itself into a full pledge 3rd party developer, bringing some Dreamcast titles to other consoles. Skies of Acadia was one of the best works of arts Sega has come up in the last year. The Dreamcast version was very long filling over 2 discs. Sega before said that this title was only created for Gamecube, but that must of been a understatement. Sega's 1st party developer, Overworks, is in the process of reworking the title into Playstation 2 format. The game will defintally have better anime and some new cut scenes to fill up the DVD format.
