President
Hiroshi Yamauchi Retires
Hiroshi Yamauchi, the man who's been president of Nintendo's
headquarters in Japan for the last 20 years will now be retiring. Yamauchi
was a programmer who lead some of the first NES games. Then a sort time after
people asked him to be president. He helped Nintendo market the N64 making
tough decisions on it's behalf. He also over saw the development of the 'dolphin'
and many of it's first games. When Dolphin succeeded then he would retire.
A guy named Satoru
Iwata will take his place. (article posted 05/24/02)
E3 2002 - Capcom to put #2 franchise on Gamecube
Yep my man. Capcom is porting their latest
2D fighter SNK vs. Capcom to Gamecube.
E3 2002 - More
'Link' in Legend of Zelda Details
Nintendo commented on the next Legend of
Zelda game. Link is younger which means this took place before Orchid of Time
according to place and setting. This will not freak people out who don't want
to be disappointed in the Zelda Saga. In Zelda 5 , Link saves his pretty sister
from Gorgan the same person who took Zelda in Link to the Past and Orchid
of Time. How ever the story goes it looks like a deadly trap for Link. (article

E3 2002 - Rainbow Six Ghost Recon port, Excellect !
Uri Soft, the French Pubisher, may bring
this American game to Gamecube. Ever since Tom Claney wrote Rainbow 6 about
a Marine Corp which went into hostile territory under realistic melee tactics
attached. Tom Claney would of been awarded with not only a pat on the back
for creating the Jurrassic Park francise but could make Rainbow 6 a big
film. However the gaming industry took that one over when Tom Claney himselve
opened Red Storm Entertainment to create all of his games. Rumors are is
that he comes over and over sees all Rainbow 6 games when they are in progress.
He gives the team ideas and basic miltitary stradegies to use in the
games that he never thought of in his books. Ghost Recon is exspected to
sell over 1 million copies the first year. (posted 05/14/02)
E3 2002
- See Rayman Run.... on Gamecube
Definally being the best platform game
of 2000, Rayman 2 : The Great Escape put Uri Soft's lead character into a
pretty awesome game. Rayman 2 is large and had 10 hours of gameplay in it.
I like Rayman 2 because it reminded me of Zelda 64. Except at that time it
was the only platform game for Dreamcast that was ownable.
Uri Soft wants Rayman 3's first port on Gamecube. The game has noticably
improved over the Playstation 2 version of Rayman 2. Uri Soft used Gamecube
hardware to make the game brighter. All the backgrounds are shined to a impressive
amount of detail. So far we know that Rayman 3 won't be different from Rayman
2 except for maybe a FMV and high resolution graphics. (posted 05/14/2002)
Metal for Honor title on its way
Another World War II First Person
Shooter is looking at a Gamecube port for next year. One thing that is
noticeable to Metal of Honor is that it is extremely bloody. This title
is sure to have a 'M' rating. (posted 05/11/02)
Microsoft members
split from the company
You can say that Microsoft gathered some high quality, high educated designers
/ programmers between the time it has sponsored the Xbox and now. Some
of the Programmers that Microsoft picked up was from publishing houses
like Lucas Arts, Infrogrames, Serra Studios, and Dreamworks Interactive.
All members with 15 or more years experience in making games. A few of
the top designers formed their own company called CEG Studios which
was planned for at least 6 months in advance. The new firm told Nintendo
that they will be in favor for them and that their first title will include
the Gamecube. For Starters, CEG will be in partnership with SEGA. But that
doesn't mean that you'll see this company behind a major franchise for some
other publisher. (posted 05/11/02)
Press Release - CEG looks like they are currently starting or atleast
picking up Jane's Attack Squadron for Gamecube / Xbox / and PC. The
game is sponsered by Electronic Arts.
E3 2002 - Mortal Kombat : Deadly Alliance looks Polished
The in game screens of Mortal Kombat match the ones from Soul Caliber 2.
Although no one knows if the game's visuals will fare better then the games
controls, I do know that MKDA has more characters, more levels then the
N64 version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy. But since it is shown at E3, the
worlds largest gaming expo, this game should be fun to play. Midway
plans to sell the GCN port around December. (posted 05/11/02)
Resident Evil is nice game, but once your out of ammo, your good as dead
!
For most of you, I don't have
to say how disappointing it is to be killed by one blood thirsty zombies
while have been staying alive for 30 minutes. That's why I won't share the
details, but I do have a strategy guide

E3 2002 -
Gameshark / Memory Card for retail this July
I
f you aren't surpassed at Interact for making a new gameshark, you'll
will be surpassed that it includes a memory card that holds twice as much
as the current 8MB Nintendo one. You can save games on this memory card
and will also have a code cd to boot. This will retail for the same price
as other console versions, $39.99 (posted 05/10/02)
E3 2002 - High Profile RPG on Gamecube called Tails of
Phantasia
Tails of Phantasia
looks to be Namco's big brake. So far their upcoming RPG looks very
good. Much like SEGA / Dreamworks Skies of Arcadia due sometime later
this year. Whats the difference? Well, Tails of Phantasia will be released
when Gamecube is already 2 years old. And what we know is that GCN isn't
terribly hard to develop for and Namco has a year to finish it. (posted

Nintendo announces true sequel to Star Fox 64
Its nice to have a Star Fox 3. I like Star Fox
because it was a fast pace shooter. Why was Star Fox something differen?.Nintendo
put animals in a shooting game (which at first many people thought it was
a childrens game but soon found out it wasn't. It wasn't easy to beat.
Usually childrens games are.) and they also made a transformation of the
1980s overhead shooting game into 3D. As the demand of having more top quality
titles available has grown. This is good by the way. Nintendo asked Namco
for a pretty penny to make it. (posted 05/08/2002)
Even Evil Characters get Platformers
Wario Land, Nintendo's 3rd best
selling platform game on Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance is going to
get a Gamecube port. The new port is called Wario World and has
been kept secret until Nintendo unreaved it at the Electronics Entertainment
Expo (also E3). Wario is Mario's evil twin. His first appearance was
on the Gameboy with Mario Land 3. Since Wario Land 2, the game showed zombies,
henchmen, and other living dead that lurk and to me makes the game
more fun. I'm guessing that you'll see this same game on Gamecube.
This is very good because Wario Land, I think, was more popular then some
of the Mario games. In my opinion, I give this game 2 thumbs way up. (posted

RESIDENT EVIL OWNED !!!
After months of waiting I finally own a copy of
Resident Evil. (posted 05/05/02)
Retro Studios no
longer Retro Studios
Instead of having the second party named Retro
Studios, Nintendo finally buys the whole studio and will only be known
as Nintendo R&D5. With Nintendo being
in 100% control of theirs games, they should be making money. Of course
I still guessing Nintendo developing house R&D5 will still be casually
be called Retro Studios to its workers. With the name dropped, the group
this gained employees and Nintendo has plans to pick up an old game which
was canceled one year ago. Early rumors say that it is unofficially Raven
Blade. (posted 05/05/02)
Story unraveled in Mario Sunshine
At a Dutch Nintendo fan site rumors about
the actual story line. Nintendo actually did put a good story behind
Mario Sunshine. This proves the rumors that Mario enters the real world
(1st dimension as some call it.) As the story goes, the game takes off
exactly after SM64 if you can relate both at all. Any ways Mario / Peach
fly to a small island (looks like Indonesia or the Bahamas) Mario sees
the garfedie and odd appearances that pop up in this undisturbed land.
Mario then goes on this quest to bring it back to what it once was. Perhaps
Peach is kidnapped when Mario is gone. (posted 05/04/02)
Super Monkey Ball 2 Near Completion. Anyone Suprised ?
A2, the developer that brought Gamecube games American
Pro Trucker and Super Monkey Ball. Monkey Ball is a
good way to pass the time. I have the first title. I didn't know that
Sega planned on a sequel. Its great. The game is based on getting bananas.
The more bananas maintained, the more points. Something out of the extremely
fun NES game Marble Madness. This game does deminstraight. how quickly
gamecube development can take place. Onlly one year Sega could come
up with the sequel that their already near completion. The sequel
uses the same engine as the first. No graphical differences. But defiantly
some gameplay improvements over the already best puzzle game on Gamecube.
Resident Evil Finally Here
The long wait is over. Capcom indeed released one
game for us gamers to brag about. Have you seen the intro, everything
so fluid. I like when Jill gets chased down by rutwilers. It truly
gives off a creepy yet supenceful impression. I say that would lead
to a really horrifying experience. One thing that stinks with me is
if the music played throughout the game composed my Myelin Mansion.
He wrote a creepy soundtrack for the motion picture. I haven't yet own
this wonder, but when I get 49 bucks in my pocket -- I be sure this game
up. Well I did make a wrong decision when buying Agent Under Fire. I should
of waited. I would of got my pennies worth buying a copy of this game.
What can I say. The graphics are nearly breath taking. Better then even
Wave Race Blue Storm. But that should. I heard someone in Wall Mart when
I was in the entertainment section literally yell "Hell Yes" when they heard
Resident Evil for Gamecube was in the back rooms. Well I couldn't tell if
that person was immature or not, Resident Evil IS Top of the Line stuff.
This series gives you a very long game with lots of replay value. (article
