Yes you heard right. I'm going to 2, count 'em two schools this semester. Mainly because since i would have the same book and teacher (and since the teacher loves me so) I am finishing off most of my french courses at Mt. Sac, but my main school will of course still be Cal State Fullerton. So, let me introduce to my classes this semester.

Ooooooh yeah. Bowling! When i heard that Fullerton offered a bowling class, i made it my priority to take it next semester. So, here i am, bowling away every monday. It only meets once a week, but it is fun while it lasts. The first couple of classes were boring, since we were learning all the technique (which there is a lot of), and just practicing, but this week we started league! This is where the class splits up into smal teams of 4 bowlers per team, and face off in a bowling match to the death! well, it's not really to the death, but it's still fun. our bowling team didn't pick a name, so our teacher named us the pin pals! how convenient. the pin pals got off to a rough start as we lost this monday, but we shall get our revenge. one of my bowling teammates named allen chen, is quiet and doesn't speak much english, but he's really cool, because whenever he gets a spare or strike, or juts does well, he throws his arms into the air and jumps and says "yay!". there should be more allen chens in the world. anyway, i think we have our midterm soon where we take a test on the terms of bowling, pin numbers, technique and other junk. i think it's just so the teacher doesn't get hounded by the university that the class is too easy. i also have a bowling paper due! haha, yeah.. it's gonna be a tough course this bowling..

Trumpet lessons as always. This semester, i think my jury piece is a very very tough one by Handel, originally written for the organ. This bastard of a piece actually has 64th notes! (rare really, really, really fast ones) and a bunch of 32d's as well. I hope i can pull it off. cross your fingers for me.

This class is interesting. We study early 20th century music by composers like Debussy, Stravinsky, Bartok, Messiaen, etc... Now during this time music started getting weird. composers didn't have rules to follow, so they sorta did whatever the hell they wanted to do. which is very cool, but very very tough to study, since we have to analyze their music. I wish they wouldn't over analyze music sometimes, and just let the beauty be. but c'est la musique! i hope i do well in this class.

I actually got into this class! this class is so full of people, well, compared to normal classes, but anyway this is a class that teaches me about all the different instruments, and all the ranges, and rules of each instrument, and how to distribute music parts for them and junk like that. may sound weird, but it's pretty cool. i just wish i could play the instruments we learn about, but we just study them. rats.

>14873 MUS -361C-01 1.0 Symphonic Band
Act TR 0230P-0420P PA 116 Fennell, M. J.

Symphonic band. my first concert is in about 2 hours, since i'm updating this from school. This first concert's gonna suck a bit, as the songs we're playing are a bit cheesy, except for this really cool suite by Gordon Jacob, which i really dig. hopefully better music next concert.

I had my comp. lesson today, and my teacher said i already have an A for the semester. that was really good to hear! hah, i'm not lying either. he actually said that. he said he was really pleased with the music i am writing, and even talked to the other comp. teachers about me. i couldn't believe it. i think he knows i love music, and i take it seriously, and i want music to be my life. it's kind of funny that my instructors name is Michael Bayer, which is the same name of a guy i used to go to high school with. kind of miss him sometimes. but i hope i just write some good music before i die, then i'll be happy.

Mt. SAC
>French 2 4.0 Anglin, Marie

Mt. Sac french class. Two of my summer school buddies dropped this, leaving me to rot. haha, actually i love the French language, and i hope i continue to learn more of it. it's kind of a drag to drive from Sac to Fullerton, but it might be worth it for 4 juicy units. and that french 35 class is sposed to be just 24 hours of lab time for me, which i haven't started, but i should have. french is neat.

that's it for this semester. i'll update later... probably

I bought my Mt. Sac parking permit last week. It turns out I did so bad in school this term, I went beyond academic probation and got kicked out of school. Mt. Sac, here I come! Ok, I am a horrible liar. I'm just trying to make this website a bit more entertaining than usual. Why else would people come here? I did buy a Mt. Sac permit though, as I am enrolled in French 1. I still go to Cal State Fullerton, I'm just trying to get ahead so I can graduate in less than 12 years, and my school is too expensive to go to in the summer. I start July first. Holy crap, summer is going to be sad. I miss you. Anyway, here's how I did in school during my fourth semester.

So I ended up really disliking Senora Granata. She just didn't have control of the class, and taught kinda dumb. I hope I just slide by. I'm not too worried about te grade i get in this class. I'm no historian, although I did find much of this class to be interesting... I think she just killed it for me.

This is the major class I'm scared of actually failing. I've never failed a class before. I hope I keep my record. I really don't want to take this again. I like American history too.. weird. Mr. Jeffrey expected way too much out of us. I went to study groups, and actually answered some questions on the test this time. I hope i don't fail. In any event, I nailed that question on Woodrow Wilson.

Although I blew ass on my jury, i pulled a B in this class. I think mostly because Mark probably stuck up for me. Mainly because he knows i've actually been practicing this semester. I'm really frustrated with the stupid trumpet. I've been playing the damn thing for nine years and I'm still quite mediocre at it. rats. i need a genie.

>14808 MUS -316 -01 2.0 16th-Century Counterpoint
Disc MW 1100A-1150A PA 265 INST: Rodgers, L. A.

Haha, I managed to come late to this class, or not show up at all to every class session. Hmm.. i think Dr. Rodgers likes me, so I hope I get a decent grade in this class. I turned in all the work, might've been late, but i turned it all in. Sixteenth century counterpoint isn't all that exciting.

>14812 MUS -326 -01 2.0 Intro to Music Technology
Disc TR 1130A-1245P PA 275 INST: Anderson, D. W.

I better get an A in this class. I spent a lot of time in the music lab, and i think all of my projects ended up sounding real neat, and I'm sure i did well on the final. What's cool is that Mr. Anderson is teaching the "Music of the Beatles" class next semester. I think I'll take a break from him though. He puts me to sleep.

So it's official. I got accepted into the composition program at CSUF (my school). I hope I do well. Lloyd says it's a lot of work. I can already tell since I got back all of my work from composition, and I was surprised at the size of the stack. Oh well. Wish me luck. I'll just probably end up writing music for Geico commercials...
