ADEPT:  a person who is highly skilled in magick
AKASHA:  The fifth element, the omnipresent spirital power which permeates the universe; that which
                  all other elements are formed.
ALTAR:  any special flat surface set aside for magickal workings and religious acknowledgement
AMULET:  a magickally charged object of protection
ATHAME:  a wiccan ritual knife which is used to direct personal power
AURA:  personal radience
BALEFIRE:  a fire lit for magickal and practice purposes
BANISH:  to magickally end the presence of
BIND:  to magickally restrain someone or something
BLACK MAGICK:  involves curses and hexes; negative energy
BOOK OF SHADOWS:  personal collection of spells, rituals and lore
CHAKRAS:  the seven major energy vortexs found on the human body
CHALICE:  a cup or goblet associated with the element water
CHARGE, THE:   a message from the Goddess to her children
CHARMS:  amulets or talismen that have been charged for a specific purpose
CLEANSING:  the act of removing the negative and replacing with the positive
CONE OF POWER:  refers to the energy energy raised and focused to achieve a definate purpose
CONSECRATION:  the act of blessing
COVEN:  a group of 13 or less witches that work together in an organized fasion
DEOSIL:  clockwise movement
DIVINATION:  the magickal act of discovering the unknown by use of patterns, symbols and tools
DRAWING DOWN THE MOON:  a ritual act used to empower with the presence of a certain deity
ELEMENTS:  Earth/North, Air/ East, Fire/South, Water/ West and Akasha/Center
ENCHANTMENT:  a magickal object that must be kept absolutely secret or hidden
ESBAT:  monthy coven meeting; usually takes place at the full moon
EVOCATION:  to call upon spirits
HANDFASTING:  a pagan, wiccan or Gypsy marriage ceremony
MAGICK:  the ability to change to a desire effect by the  manipulation of energies and the use of the
                  elements
MAGICKAL CIRCLE:  the boundry of protection used during rituals and made of personal power
PENTACAL:  a circle surrounding a 5 pointed upright star; known as a pentagram
RITUAL:  a ceremony designed to honour/thank deites or perform magickal working/act
SABBAT:  one of eight seasonal festivals
SCURYING:  a divination method done by gazing ie crystal ball, water or candle flame
SKYCLAD:  the term used for performing magick unclothed
TALISMAN:  an object that has been ritually charged with power for a specified purpose
WHEEL OF THE YEAR:  one full cycle of the seasonal year
WHITE MAGICK:  magick involving healing and other positive workings
WITCH:  a person who uses magick; practioner of witchcraft
WITCHCRAFT:  a magickal religion
WIDDERSHINS:  the counter clockwise casting of the cicle used to banish or dispel negativity
