Yule - approximately December 21st
The Goddess gives birth to a God, that is the considered the reborn sun.
Imbolc - February 1st
The sun God which was born to the Goddess at Yule is considered a young boy here.
Ostara - approximately March 21st
The young God is considered to be approaching maturity as the world comes alive again after the long winter.
Beltane - May 1st
The God has reached manhood and the Goddess is ready to take him as her lover.
Litha - approximately June 21st
The Goddess is considered pregnant from her union with the God at Beltane. The child she carries is a reincarnation of the God and will be born again at Yule. This is considered the end of the reign of Oak King who is replaced by the Holly King.
Lughnassad - August 1st
The God is dying yet lives inside the Goddess as her child.
Mabon - approximately September 21st
The God prepares to travel through the Otherworld towards rebirth and renewal.
Samhain - October 31st
The God has fell to ensure our continuing existence.
And with the coming of Yule the cycle begins again.
Birth and rebirth as with the seasons and as with all of us.
