Everyone possesses the ability to perform magick, whether you believe in it or not. It is like the phrase "if you want something bad enough you can make it happen"; absolutely! When you want something bad enough you focus all your energy on that one thing, you adjust your life so that you are always working toward your goal. You think/meditate on that one thing you want, you change your energy so that you are attracting that thing to you. Ta Da you are performing magick, without the pomp and circumstance.
As with everything else you will be better at somethings than you will at others. Magick is simply using the energy within yourself and the energy within nature combined to achieve a desired ending. And like an Olympian the more the practice the better you will be. Visualization is important in any type of magick, you have to be able to see what you are working for.
The three basic types of magick are:
1} Imitative Magick
This is symbolic images representing your goal or an actual drawing of what you want to accomplish. If you see if, if you visualize it you can make it happen. This type of magick is mainly used for to enhance your magick, to bring luck or to power your magick to better achieve your goal.
2} Contagious Magick
This is the use of another person's personal belongings {clothes, hair, nail clippings} mainly used to enhance a cast for another person, love spells or on the darker side hexes and curses.
3} Sympathetic or Image Magick
The use of poppets or dolls. Mainly used for healing or love spells. Very popular among African magick, voodoo or hoodoo folk magick. Used in black magick to bring pain or even death.
Other types of magick:
Personal Magick:
This is the magick directed towards self with the use of viusalization, repetitive chants and self hypnosis. Often people perform this type of magick and are not even aware they are doing it or will deny it is magick.
Active Magick:
This is the type of magick that is directed out to bring a desired event or desired effect.
Passive Magick:
The type of magick that is directed from without. Events are of a nonphysical cause meaning we don't actively do anything to gain it such as ESP or intuitive dreaming.
Both magick and pyschic abilities is something we all possess. We can develop and increase our performance of both. Magick is a natural thing not supernatural and it should not be abused. Magick should not be used to inflate your ego, for recognition or to gain money. That cheapens the gift.
Magick has been performed throughout history and it always will be. It happens around us everyday working with the energies of nature and the universe. Wish upon a star, blow out your birthday candles, say a prayer and you there is magick. When you wish upon something with strong emotion and it comes true that is magick.
What goes on in your mind is more important than the ritual itself, if you have no strong feeling for what you are doing deep inside of you it is very unlikely that you will achieve the end result you seek.
If you have doubts or fears you will not be able to achieve the result you are casting for.
