Oh Yeah!!! It's Partytime!!!! Okay you call them holidays, we call them Sabbats.  There are 4 major and 4 minor sabbats.  The wiccan way of life is closely attuned to nature and our sabbats reflect that.
The four major sabbats are Samhain, Candlemas, Beltane and Lammas.  The four minor sabbats are the 2 Equinoxes and the 2 Solstices.  There are also 13 monthly Esbats held on the full moon night by covens.
Samhain - October 31st  This is the major sabbat that marks both the beginning and the end of the Wheel of the Year.  It is the most sacred and magickal night of the year.  When the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead is at it's thinnest.  It is also the final harvest festival.
Candlemas - February 2nd  This is a fire festival dedicated to the goddess Brigid.
This is for the sweeping out of the old.
Beltane - May 1st  This is a fire festival to light the way for summer.
Lammas - August 1st  This is the first of three harvest festivals ( the others being Sept 21st {the
Witch's Thanksgiving} and Samhain)  A day to pay homage to the sun.

as the Witches Thanksgiving.  The hours of the day and night are equal.
