These are the energy centers of the body, there are 7 of them altogether. Each chakra center has a different purpose and use. The chakras can be seen as a spinning wheel or disc of energy.
The 1st Chakra or your Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine. This is an earth element and is responsible for our basic instincts such as survival. This chakra brings us health, prosperity and security. Associated with the colour red.
The 2nd Chakra or your Sacral Chakra is located in the abdomen, lower back and sexual organs. This is a water element and responsible for fluidity and grace, depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment and the ability to accept change. Associated with the colour orange.
The 3rd Chakra or your Navel Chakra is located in or solar plexus or slightly
below your ribcage. This is a power/fire chakra that rules personal power, will and metabolism. This chakra brings us energy, effectiveness and spontaneity.
Associated with the colour yellow.
The 4th Chakra or your Heart Chakra is located obviously at the level of your heart. This is an air element that rules love, ego and unity. This chakra allows us to love deeply, feel compassion, feel at peace and be centered. Associated with the colour green or pink.
The 5th Chakra or your Throat Chakra is again conviently located in the place that is is named for. It is a sound and creative center. This center is related to communication and creativity. Associated with the colour blue
The 6th Chakra or your Brow/Third Eye Chakra is located slightly above the point between the two eyebrows. This a light center and is responsible for intuition and psychic ability. Associated with the colour indigo.
The 7th Chakra or Crown Chakra is loated at the crown of your head. This chakra is responsible for the greater world beyond our own. When developed it brings us knowledge, wisdom, greater understanding, spiritual connectiveness and bliss. Associated with the colour violet or white.
