Litha Ritual

The 21st June, Litha is Midsummer's Day, the longest day of the year. The Sun is at the height of his powers. The heady delight of love is all around, and it is also a time to ask for past troubles to be over. Midsummer is traditionally a time when magick is at its peak.
PLANT - Chamomile, rose, oak, thyme, daisy

ALTAR - Oak, summer flowers, dark green and orange candles. Get something that symbolises whatever it is that may have cause you problems in the past which you are prepared to burn - maybe a piece of paper with the details written on it.

FOOD - Fresh fruit and juices

"The God and Goddess are at their height
The longest day is filled with light
Now is the time to forget and move on
Leaving past troubles where they belong"

Light the item you chose and visualise the troubles they represent burning away:

"By the powers of the Lord and Lady I banish thee
Be gone from my life and leave me be
The time for magick is all around
The powers of the God and Goddess abound
Help fill me with joy and attune with the land
Be with me throughout and guide my hand
Tonight enchantment is in the air
Help me find the magick there."
