Shard

Because of her metatype, Sharon doesn't appear to be much older than twenty-one. Her skin is of a fine ivory color while her hair is a brilliant blonde which is spiked in long, elegant shards about her head. Though she is quite tall, about 1.9 meters (5'11") and weighs around 60 kg (132 lbs). She also has large, tear drop shaped eyes that are green in color. Normally she prefers to wear expensive dresses and enjoys wearing fabulous and outrages clothes when she goes out. However, when it comes down to the streets, she prefers to wear something that can offer her a little more protection than the latest fashion.

Sharon loves to spend time at Seattle's hottest nightspots and is very sociable and friendly by nature. This affects the way she dresses, preferring to wear the latest in fashion to impress other people. She has a kind heart and always tries to be understanding with people.

She is also a bit of a nature lover and it shows in the way she makes her magic. Some people have mistakenly labeled her a shaman rather than the hermetic mage she is. Though she is somewhat unorthodox when compared to other hermetics who stress formulas and mathamatics.

Sharon harbors harsh feelings for her former employers at Yamatetsu and secretly dislikes working with any corporation. She sees them as being completely untrustworthy
Sharon was born to normal human parents in Los Angeles, California in 2033. She has a brother, Greg, who is three years older than her and currently lives in Detroit. Both of her parents are now retired and still live in the same neighborhood where Sharon was raised
Sharon enjoyed a regular childhood filled with good friends and great hopes. She dreamed of being a famous simstar and would often visit clubs dressed in her finest clothes. Sometime she managed to fool people into thinking that she was something more than a the daughter of a small time Security guard for Yamatetsu. Sharon knew that it was just pretending. Her hopes of a famous future were slashed when she was sixteen and was declined an offer at the studios. However, later that year, she underwent testing at her high school and was found to have a latent potential for magic. Her parents immediately enrolled her in a special training program to bring out her talents. It wasn't long until she was attending the University of California, close to getting her degree.

Yet Sharon was never satisfied with the courses she was forced to take. As a result she didn't apply herself fully. Most of the time she would sneak off campus to clubs and dance the night away. A fellow student by the name of Jenny Lomineck, who shared much of Sharon's interests in clubbing, often went with her. However Jenny, being older than Sharon, would soon graduate and move to Seattle. This left Sharon alone at school with professors jabbering at her day in and day out. Her last year at the university was horrible for her.

Finally in 2057 she graduated and immediately started working for a local Los Angeles Yamatetsu firm as a security mage. Sharon disliked the work, but it paid her bills. She was now beginning to move out from underneath her parents wing and start her own life away from them. During this time she also took a vacation to the Shasta Mountains in northern California. She was so struck by the beauty of the place that it had a lasting effect on her life. To this day she treasures any moment she has to visit the outdoors and spend a few days away from the bustling sea of humanity.

In July of 2058 Sharon was transferred to a Yamatetsu office building in Seattle. At the time she felt sad about leaving her home, but overjoyed because of the closeness of NAN lands to Seattle. Now it would be easier than ever for her to visit nature. It was her new job in Seattle that also lead her to meet Nicolas Hamilton. The two immediately became very close and she would continue to see him seriously up until December of 2058.

However, her new job in Seattle was nothing what she expected it would be. She was hired as part of a security response team, acting as the groups magical backup. Sharon hated this work. The team was harsh and unforgiving as well. She was the only metahuman member as well as the only female member of the group. As a result she received constant battering from every member.

On December 15 in 2058 an event occurred that forever changed her life. Her security team was called in response to a firefight that had broken out in Tacoma between a gang and a limo carrying an important VIP of Yamatetsu. Upon arriving at the scene the team immediately began to dispatch anyone they considered a threat. During the ten minutes of bloodlust, a member of the team by the name of Fetid Kanatada who hated Sharon because she was an elf, caught her off guard and proceeded to beat her senseless. He screamed various insults and threatened to kill her. The other members of the team eventually gathered around, but did nothing to help. After he beating was over, she vowed never to go back to Yamatetsu again for what they had done to her.

It took her the rest of the month to recover from the beating. Something that she could not do on her own. Nicolas put her in touch with a Fixer by the name of Hector. Hector arranged to Sharon to be gracefully released from her contract with Yamatetsu and also set her up with a high-rise flat in Bellevue. Sharon promised to repay Hector for his kindness and she kept in contact with Nicolas even through she was no longer working at Yamatetsu
It wasn't long before she was in need of money. Plus she still had a debt to pay off to Hector. Thus Hector offered her work within the shadows of Seattle. An offer that Sharon took.
