---------- Chapter 10 ---------- Raine punched the punching bag infront of her,with all her might.It swung heavily away from her.She whirled,bringing her right leg up and bringing it down on the hanging punching bag.She then turned sideways,and jutted her leg up an 80degree angle and nearly knocked the bag out of the air.Luckily,it was grafted to the wall.She turned back to the bag,and then jutted out her hand, fingers bent,palm out,in an upward motion.She whirled,and smacked the bag with the side of her arm,then punched it with her opposite arm.It had been a week since the surgery,and Raine felt carefree. "It's amazing...her training.She fluidly moves from one move to another.She definitely is a conditioned weapon."Ororo said,as her,Jean,Xavier,and Scott watched her practice with the bag. Jean nodded."She's amazing alright." Raine was wearing a grey tanktop,black sweats,and socks.She trotted away from the bag,turned back,and barreled at it.She stopped,turned,and jumped up and kicked the bag with her right leg,landed on the right,at the same time,kicking the bag with her left. Scott clapped for her,getting a broad smile from Raine. "I don't know how I'm doing this,but I'm doing it!"Raine giddily said,smiling. "So have you decided,Raine?"Xavier said,wheeling over to her. Raine nodded."I would like to stay,only if you give me work,so I won't feel like this is charity." Xavier smiled."Of course,but you also need to go to class as well." Raine sighed."Darn...I wish that calculator part of the device was really just me..." Ororo smiled."I would like to see you in class next week,if your ready." "Okay,okay."Raine said,rolling her eyes.She gave a war cry the ran,and jumped,and side-kicked the bag.She landed and turn to the others,smiling proudly.She didn't notice when the bag swung back at her,and knocked her off balance,and made her stumble. Jean laughed,then covered her mouth. "Hey!Not funny."Raine said,steadying herself. "Oh,Raine,I need to see you in the medical bay in an hour for a check up."Jean said,changing the subject. "K."Raine said.She straightened."I'm gonna go change and hang out until then,okay?" "Do what ever you want for the hour."Jean said,smiling. Raine trotted off out the gym. "She seems much more happy,now that she doesn't have to worry about her powers causing trouble."Xavier said,looking at his long time students. "Yeah,even if the powers were inforced by a implant."Scott remarked. "Well,all we have to focus on now is making sure,she,and the rest of the students here,have a normal,healthy childhood and adolescence."Xavier said,smiling softly. The other three were silent,in agreement. ----------- "So...she's at Xavier's School for Mutants.It seems he has a nack for getting in the way of my plans.Never the less,getting her shouldn't be too difficult for you,Toad.By the way,are the preparations ready?"Erik asked,looking at the young man. Toad nodded."Everything is ready." "Take your time when obtaining the girl,I do not want Charles to know until it's too late."Erik said. Toad nodded again.He blinked slowly,hiding all emotion he had for the girl,which he ruthlessly denied. "Well,if you find the job too hard to handle,take Sabertooth with you."Erik said,smiling lightly. "I can handle the job."Toad said,replying coldly. "That's the spirit."Erik said,smiling."By the way,I've decided to let Mystique and Sabertooth to come,because I'd rather the three of you to get her,and not you to just return with failure." Toad scowled at Erik's lack of faith in him.The guy had just said for him to go,now he was sending him with them?Toad scowled as he left. ----------- Raine blushed,catching herself thinking of the guy,Mortimer Gage.She idly wondered what he was doing now.Was he happy he didn't die?She wished she knew.She sighed,as she entered the medical lab,and saw Jean waiting for her. "Ready?"Jean asked. Raine shrugged."Sure." "I just need to take a body x-ray to make sure everything's healthy and fine."Jean said,motioning towards a gurney.Raine sat,and Jean began examining her right temple.Only a pale pink scar remained where the once fresh cut was.Jean gently pressed her forefingers on it."Is it tender?" "Nope."Raine replied. "I'm going to check the contusion on your back now."Jean said,moving around Raine. Raine lifted her shirt up to her shoulders,and held it there,so Jean could examine her back. Jean frowned.There were two slits on Raine's back,above the contusion.One on each shoulder blade."Raine,did you cut yourself?" "What do you mean?"Raine asked. "There are two cuts....on your shoulderblades.There's no blood...just two slits,about and inch long each."Jean said,pressing a finger down on one. Raine made no reaction to pain,.The cuts weren't wounds at all. "Freaky."Raine replied."So is the bruise still there?" Jean nodded,focusing back at the contusion."Yeah,but it is fading." Raine put down her shirt and looked at Jean."Is that it?" Jean smiled,despite her curiosity to the slits."Yes,you may go." Raine hopped off the gurney."Coolage.I got to head into town because Ororo wants me to get some groceries for the kitchen." Jean nodded."See you later." "Bye!"Raine said,before disappearing out the infirmary. How odd....Jean thought.She quickly dismissed the thought and headed for the elevator.She had to give a class soon,and she didn't want to be late. ----------- Jubilee,Rogue,and Raine walked down a grocery isle,pushing three carts.They had to do shopping for a hundred hungry teenagers.They already had most the basic stuff;about ten packs of toilet paper,eight gallons of milk,several dozen litters of sodas,junk food, vegetables,fruits,dinner dishes,frozen foods,etc.It was late,so they were the only customers. "Dude,I feel like a mule."Raine said,pushing the cart of food infront of her. "Ditto."Jubilee commented. "What else do we need to get?"Rogue asked. "Sugar."Jubilee replied."Lot's of sugar..."Jubilee giggled,picking up a huge jawbreaker. "That would take forever to eat...."Rogue said,awing at the size of it.The jawbreaker was the size of a softball. "I'll be right back,I have to go to the bathroom."Raine said,heading off to the far end of the grocery store. "Okay!"Jubilee called after her. The grocery store was huge.Raine finally made it over to the bathroom area,only to be stopped by a security guard. "Excuse me Miss,but could you follow me?"He said,standing over her. "Why?What did I do?"Raine asked. "Nothing.This is just protocol."He replied. "Protocol?What the hell..."She cursed as the man pulled her off into a Personnel only part of the store. Raine gasped when she saw the man that had attacked her before.He just smiled back at her.Raine turned,and bumped into the 'security guard'.The man melted into a woman,who's skin was dark blue,with scale-like skin. Raine pushed her way past the woman and back into the store.Raine had ran past three isles when something grabbed her ankle and tripped her.Raine flew into a tower of stacked packages of tissue."Ahhh!"Raine screamed when she landed. "Raine??" Jubilee and Rogue ran out into the aisle,and spotted Raine,sprawled over packages of tissue.Raine cleared her senses and stood.She whirled around to see the tall man and the woman approached.Her heart stopped when she spotted the second man.It was him.He only shot her a mocking smile. Jubilee shot a wave of electric sparks at Sabertooth,whom staggered back,surprised at the sudden attack. Sabertooth fell into a shelf ilse,which fell over into another,into another,and so on. Toad kicked Rogue into a shelf of flour and grabbed her by the leg and flung her over the shelf. Rogue screamed as her body raised up into the air,and the plummeted onto the ground on the other side.She landed on her chest,and let out an 'oof' of pain.She heaved heavily,the air had been knocked out of her lungs. Mystique twirled and kicked Jubilee back,then punch her back farther.Jubilee attempted to blast Mystique,but she was too slow.Mystique knocked Jubilee in the side of the head,and banged her head against a shelf,knocking her out cold. Raine watched as Jubilee and Rogue were flung about like ragdolls.She attempted to punch Sabertooth,but he,in the heat of battle,grabbed her and flung her over his shoulder,before realizing who she was.Raine couldn't prevent what was going to happen next. Rogue had gotten around the shelf just in time to see Raine flung into the air.She paled when she saw where Raine was going to land.Raine landed on a metal bar that had bent when Sabertooth had fell into it. Raine made a breathless gasp when the pole skewered through the middle of her chest.The area fell silent when they realized what had just happened.The bloody pole was sticking out the middle of Raine's chest,dripping with blood. ------------ Chapter 11 ------------ Raine tried to breath in,but all she felt was blood filling her lungs.She felt a fear grip her heart she never felt before.The sudden realization that your dying.Raine slowly pulled herself off the pole,unimaginable pain jolted up and down her body,screaming for someone to just put her out her misery.She finally pulled herself off the skewer and fell forward,onto her knees.She felt blood fill her mouth,and a stream of warm blood trickle down her chin.A pool of blood was quickly collecting around her. "Raine!"Rogue shouted,running towards her,but Sabertooth knocked her away and into a wall. Raine felt someone pick her up,putting one arm beneath her back,one beneath her knees,and hoist her easily into the air.Raine looked up,violet grey eyes meeting blue on yellow,before she passed out. ---------------- Toad watched as the girl was flung into the air by Sabertooth.For some reason,his body wouldn't move to react and catch her.She fell onto a jutted up metal rod.It made a sickening sound as the rod tore through her chest.The pain,which was evident of the girl,Raine's face,seemed to render the girl motionless.The girl slowly pulled her off the skewer,and fell forward with a breathless gasp for air. "Raine!" The voice of the other teenager brought Toad out of his dream-like state.Watching as Sabertooth flung the other girl into a wall,He moved to Raine and picked her up,like one would a sleeping child.She looked up at him with glazed,watery eyes.Her lips moved,breathless,but what ever words that tried to come out,just got stuck in the girls throat.A second later she passed out.Toad felt warm blood seep through the sleeves of his jacket. Sabertooth looked at Toad,whom gave him an annoyed look."Look,you've killed her."Toad said,angry. "It was an accident!"Sabertooth snarled,sounding more like a growl than a reply. "Boys...let's depart before authorities show up.It could get messy."Mystique said,walking off towards the back exit. Sabertooth turned to follow,and headed off after Mystique. Toad looked back down at the practically lifeless girl,rooted in his spot.The girl's blood stained tanktop.He knew Magneto was going to be furious. "Hold it right there!" "Dammit!"Toad cursed,spotting a officer running towards him.He double back flipped to the exit,holding tight to the girl,and pushed open the door with his foot.He ran pass boxes of goods,and out the back exit. Mystique was waiting behind the wheel of a stolen new model convertible mustang.She smiled."I've always had a thing for mustangs."She said,running a finger over the steering wheel.She had just stolen it an hour ago.Sabertooth was in the front set,with an annoyed look on his face for Toad's lateness. Toad put a foot on the side door,lifted himself up and into the car.He sat down in the back,with the girl on his lap,head up so the blood wouldn't flow up and clog her lungs. "Is she alive?"Mystique asked,putting her barefoot on the gas. "Barely."Toad said,throwing Sabertooth a glare. Sabertooth glared back.He would have killed the girl with out a second thought,if she hadn't been so important,and was needed uninjured to Magneto.He still didn't know why she was needed alive.He also knew he was going to be in major trouble with Magneto as well. "Well,looks like your going to be in trouble,Victor."Mystique said,smiling coyly. Sabertooth glared forward,holding in an angry growl. -------------------- Mystique,Sabertooth,and Toad entered the main entrance to the medical facility in the base.Magneto was waiting there to start the process. Magneto was setting up a instrument when they walked in.He looked up at them,then at the bloody girl.Magneto felt anger swell in him."What happened?" "We ran into a bit of trouble."Mystique replied. Magneto walked over and looked at the young girl.She had blood spattered around her mouth,and a gaping wound in the middle of her chest,just above her stomach and below her breasts.He gently put a hand to her cheek.She was still warm."Mortimer,you fix her up,quickly.Heaven forbid you should fail." Toad carried the girl off,towards a gurney. Magneto turned and headed for his new office.It would be at least a week until she was capable of undergoing the experiment. ---------------------- Toad gently cut Raine's tank top down the middle and then opened it just enough so he could operate.He put down the scissors and began cleaning the wound.The slightest movement could cause her wound to start bleeding again. Her chest rose and fell gently,as she gently breathed.Magneto said the only thing keeping her alive was her mutants powers.Her slow regeneration abilities were slowly healing her,but to most,she would look as if she was in a coma. Toad caught himself staring at her flawless pink face,and shook his head.He glared to himself,loathing that the girl had some kind of hold over him.His features softened.For some reason,he could'nt glare at her,even if she was unconcious.Her innocence clashed with his own sin-filled past. Toad idly wondered if he was infatuated with her. He had never been infatuated with anyone before,so he wasn't sure.He glanced up at her face,noting her looks.Flawless features.Pink,smooth skin.She was breath taking to him.She was angelic.He was a freak.He knew she would reel in disgust at the thought of even touching him.It,was ironic though.His infatuation wouldn't last long,for she was soon going to die anyway. -------------- Chapter 12 -------------- Rogue awoke to find herself in a hospital.Her heart began to race.Why was she here?What if a nurse or doctor touched her?Did she hurt anyone?Where was Raine?? She felt a hand on her shoulder.She looked up to see Logan.She felt her worry disolve.She sat up slowly."What happened?" "You were found knocked out,along with Jubilee,in the Grocery store."Logan replied. "Raine?Is she okay??"Rogue asked,looking about. "I don't know.The police and the security monitors show that she fell on a metal shelf support,skewered herself,and was taken by Sabertooth and the others."Logan replied.He was sitting on a chair next to her hospital bed. Rogue looked down at her lap.A wound like that...she should be dead now."She must be dead by now...all that blood." Logan nodded."Most likely.Xavier wants to send us off to scout for clues.See if we can find out why they took her and where." "I'm coming."Rogue said,standing up. "Whoa,I don't think so."Logan said,holding his hands up."For all you know,this could be a trap for you to get taken by Magneto again." Rogue shook her head."No..I was unconscious,if they wanted me,they would've tooken me." Logan frowned. "See.I got to come!I can help."Rogue argued. Logan smiled."C'mon,let's get back to the school.We'll figure out this later." Rogue smiled."Okay." ------------- Magneto walked in to see Toad halfway done with 'repairing' Raine.She was still unconscious,laying on her stomach.Her tanktop had been removed so Toad could repair her wound.He now was working on the other side of the wound,located below her shoulder blades.Raine was laying on her right cheek,facing left. "How's she doing?"Magneto asked,walking up beside Toad,whom was repairing the broken tissue with a device. "She'll live."Toad said,not looking up. Magneto smiled."Of course she will.She's strong,like her grandmother." Toad was silent,and only continued his work. Magneto pulled a lock of golden brown hair out of Raine's face."She is very much like her grandmother.So much life,just like Anileya.And so beautiful too,wouldn't you agree?" Toad looked up,half in surprise at the question.He looked back down at his work,and kept silent. "Now,now,Toad,silence doesn't become you."Magneto said. "Whatever,she's a girl."Toad said,not looking up. Magneto scoffed."Please,I'm offended.I loved her grandmother,as I do her.I should,she's family." Toad nodded.He knew what he meant. "She's my granddaughter.My beloved angel...finally I meet my daughter's daughter."Magneto said,touching Raine's cheek gently.He smiled."Well,it was inevitable.She would have remembered sooner or later." -------------------- Chapter 13 -------------------- Toad carefully moved a beam over Raine's back,closing her wound.The beam was sending utra violet rays onto the tissue on the wound,causing her body to reconstruct the skin.It would leave a quater sized scar,but she would live. Finally,the last bit of skin reconstructed,and the wound was closed.He turned of the device and set it down on a small tray.He looked back at the girl's back,making sure he had done everything right.He ran his hand lightly over the pale pink scarred skin.He stopped when he noticed how his pale yellow skin contrasted with her peach-pink skin.He stood up straight and headed over to a shelf,not to far away. He picked a small vile of serum off of the shelf,along with a needle.He went back over to ther girl.He carefully stuck the needle's point through the paper lid and filled the needle with a bright blue liquid.He put the bottle on the tray and turned to the girl.He bent down and carefully stuck the needle into the girl's back,where the wound was,at a 60degree angle.The liguid would prevent scar tissue from collecting in her arteries or any where else it could harm her. Toad pulled the needle out and set it on the tray.He turned back,and gently rolled the girl onto her back.He brushed a few strands of hair out of her face,and caught himself staring at her again. "Like what you see?" Toad stood quickly,seeing Mystique not too far away."What do you want?" Mystique shrugged."Nothing..I just noticed you're in love with her."Mystique said,looking at the girl who was wearin loose jeans and a bra,and socks. Toad scoffed."Yeah,right." "Don't lie."Mystique said,walking over."You've had it for her since she toughed you and brought you back.Is she the first girl to touch you?Is that it?" Toad glared,looking away from Mystique."What would you know?" Mystique shot Toad a sort of sympathetic look."Aren't we a team?Can't I congratulate you?" "Don't bother."Toad snapped,putting away instruments. Mystique smiled."What?You don't think she likes you?" Toad ignored Mystique,as he shifted his tools into a black leather pouch. Mystique shifted into her origional form.Short,reddish oqrange hair,dark eyes.Mostly normal looking."Well,if you need me,I'll be in my room." Toad ignored Mystique as she left.He walked back over to the girl,looking down at her.He was so unsure of himself around her,and did things he didn't normally do.Like freeze up while fighting.He gently placed his hand,palm down,on her palm.The girl's fingers clasped his hand,much to Toad's surprise.She moved her head to the side in her sleep,and murmured something inaudible.Toad looked down at her hand,holding his.He wrinkled his forehead in a confused look.He pulled his hand free gently,and looked at his hand.It felt warm where her skin had touched his,as if she were still touching him.It was odd. Toad shook his head and turned to walk out.He needed rest.He'd sort out his emotions in the morning. ---------- "Maybe we should do something." "What Skye?What could we do?"Jubilee asked the boy,whom had pale blue skin,and even lighter blue eyes. "I dunno.Something."He replied. "We could go looking for her."Nicky,a young boy said.He had short brown hair,glassess,and dark brown eyes.He had a short,thin frame for a 14 year old.He phased out,and appeared next to the window. "Well,I heard Logan talkin 'bout checkin up north."Rogue said,in her country accent. "Let's do something at least.I just met Raine,and she seemed so nice..."Kitty said,laying on her stomach on a bed,in Skye and Nicky's dorm room. "Let's think before we do anything stupid."Jubilee said. --------------- Raine felt numb on her back and chest.Her eyes felt dry and heavy,and she couldn't open at the moment.Her senses seemed fuzzy...she was extremely fatigued.She tried to move,but barely even flinched. Her eyes opened at last,and blurry images of her surroundings came into mind.At first,she didn't remember what had last happened to her.Her mind felt clouded,and all her limbs,heavy.Finally,her lasts memories settled in her mind.She groaned,the all too painful memories seeping back,like some terrible nightmare.She groaned again,and barely mumbled out,"Erm..I?" Footsteps approached her,slowly,and a older man appeared,standing next to what she lay on.He had short,grey hair.Dark eyes.Dark,familiar eyes.She frowned,lightly. The man smiled."Do you remember now?" Raine idly wondered what he meant.Remember?Remember what?"Uh-uh."She mumbled out,her no. The man kept his smile,"In time,you will,Salena." Raine couldn't move,she feared the wound...Images of her flashed through her mind,being thrown,landing,skewering herself on that rod,through her spine....Am I paralyzed??Raine felt a cold chill on the back of her neck.She was. "What's the matter?You do not have to fear me,young one."The man said. Raine swallowed,then said slowly,"Am..I...paralyzed?" The man laughed,"Dear child,no.Don't underestimate yourself,your stronger than you think.Your just healing,that's all." Raine inwardly sighed."Where am I?" "Loritine Special Bio-Weapon Development Base."The man replied. Raine felt her whole body go numb.She knew that base...she knew this man...a whole flood of forgotten memories came flooding back. ------------------- Chapter 14 ------------------- Raine saw herself,six years old,walking down a clean,metallic halway.She was wearing a white cotton t-shirt,black pants,and white socks.She stopped around the corner of a room,where a man was sleeping in.He'd had been there awhile,like herself.She couldn't remember anything since she had come here,but her mother.Her mother didn't want her here. Raine walked over to the table where the man slept.He was a prisoner,like she was.He would sometimes visit her,like she was visiting him.They couldn't escape,there was no way out.Raine put her small hand on the man's hand,whom's was bigger.He had been alseep awhile,ever since they put him in the scary room...where they do stuff,painful things.Raine remembered what would happen to her there...the people were always working on her,like she was a machine. "Hey kiddo..."The man said lightly.He was dressed in black cotton pants and a white t-shirt. Raine remembered the man.The man from the institute.Logan.She knew Logan. "Hi....are you okay?"Her small voice asked,lightly. "I don't know..."He replied. Raine put her hand on his shoulder."I'll make you okay."Her little eyes began to glow violet,and she attempted to ease his muscle pains and aches. "Thanks..I got a plan kiddo."He said,sitting up.He got off the table nd then picked up the young girl."How about you and me get out of here?" The girl smiled."We don't have to come back?" The man looked off at the door."No.We'll get out." Raine remembered they walked,all the way to the sub level elevators,but she had fallen asleep while he carried her. She remembered even less after that.Fighting,him supposedly holding her hostage,as he got the two out of the facility.She was so important to the people,they let us two go....they didn't want me harmed. Then traveling....they walked forever.Hiked.Got rides in cars to towns.We got to California,and then something happened.Logan had headaches often,and they got worse.He would forget things.One morning,while in a hotel,she woke up to find him gone.She never saw him again.She had just turned seven the other night.Not long,after she was walking along a busy road,she was picked up by a patrol car,and taken to social services,then to a orphanage,then to a foster home.She loved her first mother very much...until the day she died.She was ten.At eleven she left home,and began her own life,free like a bird. Where did she know that old man?Raine thought hard....she didn't know...flashes of very old memories came to her.Her birth mother. She saw herself,four years old,looking up at her birth mother,as they stood in line to board a plane.They were leaving home to another state in America.She couldn't remeber where they were,but they were leaving.Always,they were were running. She remembered standing there,looking up at her mother,tall,golden brown hair,kind violet grey eyes.This was her mother.The woman who sang her to sleep,the woman who would rub noses,and put flowers in her hair. They were running from two people.Mommy's Daddy.A man she saw in a photograph.A dark haired,dark eyed man.She had never met him,but Mommy would say she loved her own Father,but she didn't want him near me,because I'm too like Grandma.... Then there were the people in the black suits.They would come and see me in preschool.They would try to take me sometimes,but I wouldn't go.Mommy feared them,because she couldn't protect me,she could just take me and run. Raine touched a flower that was tucked behing her ear,a violet daisey.Her mother had put it there,while they were packing. Raine was picked up by her mother and held close."We'll be leaving soon,Sunshine." Raine started singing lightly,"Your my sunshine...only sunshine..." Her mother smiled,and hummed the tune in her ear. "Ms.Cusak?" Raine was held tighter,as her mother turned around.There stood two black suited men.They had known they were gonna leave. "No!You can't take her!She's my baby!"Her mother screamed,as one of the men grabbed her arm,trying to take Raine from her. "Your under arrest for evasion of arrest,and kidnapping."One man said. Raine's eyes glowed,as she was still,Her mother pushed both men away from her,and ran into a busy terminal.She ran to a plane,which was done boarding,and about to leave for take off.She ran to the unguareded gate.She put Raine down."Honey...listen,you have to run onto that plane,and say your looking for your Mommy." "But you're here Mommy."Raine said. Her mother held back tears,and did her best to smile."You have to say it,so they will let you on.Go on,Mommy has to go.I can't let them get you." "Mommy don't leave me,please."Raine said,not understanding the situation. "Go!Run!I'll find you again,someday,I promise."Her mother siad,tearfully pushing Raine to the door. Raine ran off to the door.She stopped and turned back,looking back at her Mommy.She brought up a small hand and waved lightly."Bye Mommy."She said lightly,sadly. Her mother cupped her hands over her mouth."Bye Sweetheart,I love you." Raine turned and ran into the plane.She never saw her mother again.And when the plane touched down in Seatle,Washington,they were waiting for her.They took her away to the place she hated. Raine woke,to find herself still in the laboratory,tears stained on her cheeks.Did I pass out?She sat up,and saw a man standing at the other end,adjusting some monitor.She idly noticed,a sweatshirt had been put on her,one that was way too big for her. He turned to her,it was him.That man. "You."She said,lightly. He looked at her silently,and walked over to a different monitor,adjusting it.He didn't look at her,as he said,"You were screaming in your sleep." Raine remembered her dreams,the memories."I had remembered stuff....I didn't remember from my childhood." The man was silent for a second."You were screaming for your mother." Raine looked at the man,whom was looking away from her.He had short black hair,which gave off a green tint.Raine looked down."I had to leave her when I was young...I didn't want to."She noticed he was english,by his accent.Maybe brittish,she didn't know. The man still didn't look at her."Was she the only one who loved you?" Raine was silent."Yes.She was." The man turned and looked at her,with angry eyes."So you know what it's like." Raine was silent,the man was definately venting. "Did your father hate you?"He asked,not moving a muscle. "My adopted father did.He'd beat me."Raine replied."I don't know my birth father,he left my birth mother when she was pregnant with me." He seemed very angry.Something was deffinately bugging him.He turned and walked over to a wall.He punched it,making a hole in the plaster. Raine felt scared for a moment.She wondered if he would get angry if she stayed silent."Do you hate your father?" The man looked at her,and scoffed."Can you tell?" Raine idly noticed her muscles still felt very heavy. The man walked over to her quickly,and grabbed her by the collar of her sweatshirt.He brought her face close to his,his eyes were still angry."Why did you do it?" Rane flinched."What?" "Why did you cure me?I'm not human.Look at me."He raved,flashing blue and yellow eyes at her. Raine looked at him,his eyes,his hair,his skin."I cured you because you were hurt,and you are a man.Your human,even if your a mutant." He was silent,still angry.He let go,and walked away,still fuming.He was upset at her.She wondered why. Raine knew she had to get out of this place,but she couldn't.Not when her muscles were like this.How could she fight? "I don't understand you.You're human.Why would you care about helping a freak like me?"He asked,not looking at her. Raine frowned."I told you why.You were hurt."
