Can't Buy A Thrill
Mega City TOKYO, 2040. "Boomer's" which are generalized androids with live organ functions rapidly reconstructed the capital that suffered massive damage from a huge earthquake 7 years ago. However, on the flip side, they can also suddenly go insane. These Boomers are called "Mad" Boomers in such an unstable condition and will initiate subversive activities. Mad Boomer cases are becoming more frequent and more severe. Even the special "A.D. Police" force has trouble dealing with the increasing number of Mad Boomers. There is a mysterious group who has thrown down the gauntlet against the Mad Boomers. They have high spec powered armor hard suits, and seem to appear from nowhere. They are the "Knight Sabers" a group of young women who live out their secret lives in mega city. The super conglomerate "Genom" dominates the development and sales of the "Boomers" market with their original Voomer brand. Genom cooperation's affiliate company, Hugh Geit, has a new employee, Office Lady (OL) Yamazaki Linna. She is almost hit by a female motorcycle rider on her first day of work. Startled, she tripped and dropped the lunch she just bought. On top of that, she scraped her forehead. Furious at the female bike rider, she chases her but just misses catching her. Later that day, her manager, Ken, asks her out, offering to show her around Tokyo. That night, with Ken, she sees a female singer, Priss Asagiri's poster and recognized that Priss is the female biker who startled her in that afternoon. Linna and Ken walk around the streets and have dinner in a Bar. Linna is about to go home because it's late, but Ken stops her and asks her for "closer relationship" using the fact that he is the human resource appraiser as leverage. Linna, angered by his attitude, is about to leave when a mad boomer suddenly breaks into the bar. Ken selfishly runs away by himself leaving Linna behind. Linna finds another exit on the other side of the Bar and tries to escape by the emergency staircase. But the Mad Boomer chases after her and destroys the stairs in front of her. Because of the sudden attack, Linna is hanging over the street in great danger. A Blue hard suit suddenly shows up in front of Linna and saves her live. Linna stares at the blue hard suit and whispers comprehendingly "Knight Sabers". The blue knight saber used the same motion to show Linna her scrape on her forehead just like the female biker did earlier that day. Linna realized the Blue Knight Saber is Priss. Priss destroys the Mad Boomer with the superior force of her hardsuit. Linna is stunned by the power of Knight sabers and falls down from the stairs. But the other Knight Saber, Nene Romanova saves her. Next day, Linna gives Ken a right hook to the jaw to thank him for the previous night. Later that day, Linna shows up at the Live House "Hot Legs" and waits for Priss in the back alley. She tells Priss her about her long time dream, "I want to be knight saber too." But Priss makes no indication as to the accuracy of her revelation and drives away leaving Linna standing there alone.
Fragile
A.D Police Frontline Officer Leon McNichol and Daley Wong are aggravated by the unclear and slow acting head quarters while the Knight Sabers are stealing their thunder. About the same time, Linna is wondering why the media does not report the Mad Boomer case she encountered last night. She uses her company computer to hack the AD police's server for more information, but Nene, who works as an operator there, blocks the information and stops Linna from hacking. That night, Linna stops by Priss's live house and tries to invite herself into the Knight Sabers again. Priss doesn't take her seriously and drives away, but Linna doesn't give up so easily this time, she follows on her scooter as fast as she can. Finally she finds Priss with an unknown woman in front of the Silky Doll boutique. Linna enters the boutique as if invited and finds a secret elevator hidden behind the fitting room mirror. When the elevator door opens, she finds Priss, Nene and the unknown woman, Sylia Stingray, waiting for her. The boutique houses the secret base of the Knight Sabers. Linna again states her desire to become a Knight Saber. Sylia, the leader, smiles at Linna approvingly and suggests that Linna experience a simulated battle from the action recorder. Linna is shocked to learn that the battle is more strenuous than she had originally anticipated.
Keep me hanging on
Leon asks Nene in private to find information about the Knight Sabers on the AD Police server not knowing she is one of the members. Meanwhile, in the Knight Sabers "pit" base, Nigel Kirkland starts making a new Hardsuit for Linna. However Linna has lost her confidence in becoming a Knight Saber to fight Mad Boomers due to the strenuous battle simulation she experienced in action recorder a few days earlier. She contacts Nene about her worries and makes plans to meet her later. She and Nene meet at a coffee shop. A customer's harsh attitude toward the waitress boomer in the coffee shop causes Linna to lose her temper and argue with the customer over the boomer. After leaving the coffee shop, Linna confesses her anxiety towards becoming a Knight Saber. Even though Nene tells her if she has no confidence, she shouldn't do it, Nene would still like to fight Mad Boomers with her however. Linna firmly shakes hands with Nene as her confidence in becoming a Knight Saber returns. They arrive at the Silky Doll just as Linna's new Hardsuit is completed. Linna tries it on right away and is delighted by how light it is. Around the same time, the waitress boomer in the coffee shop goes Mad. Priss, driving by the coffee shop, takes on the Mad Boomer with her bare hands. Sylia receives notice of the Mad boomer from Priss sends out Linna and Nene to fight it since Priss is already there without her Hardsuit.
Machine Head
Priss is fighting a Mad Boomer with her bare hands but can't do much without her Hardsuit. The AD police detectives, Leon and Daley, arrive at the coffee shop to find Priss there before Linna and Nene can get there. Linna charges into her first real battle in her Hardsuit and beats up the Mad Boomer. However the battery meter on her Hardsuit runs out too quickly and Linna is unable to move the heavy Hardsuit without power. The Mad Boomer soon captures Linna. If the situation gets any worse, the Hardsuit will automatically eject Linna and leave her defenseless. Just as the Hardsuit is going to unlock, Priss, in her Hardsuit shows up and destroys the Mad Boomer and saves Linna's life. The Knight Sabers quickly disperse just as the rest of the AD police burst into the shop. Meanwhile, after returning to the Mobile Pit, Sylia and Nene compliment Linna on a great fight in her first battle, but, Priss walks out saying she doesn't want to fight with an amateur. The next day, Linna visit Priss's trailer home and promises that she will train to be stronger than Priss. Linna starts going to the Gym from then on. That night, a mysterious man approaches a boomer in a factory, holding a core from a Mad boomer�
Rough and Ready
The mysterious men who appeared in the factory work for Genom cooperation's vice president Brain J Mason. The core they're holding was taken from a mad boomer. The utility boomer that receives the mad boomer core goes wild and starts destroying the factory. The AD Police bring in their powered "K" suits and heavy artillery to mount a frontal assault against the mad boomer. Unfortunately, the weapons available to the AD Police don't have much of an effect on the powerful mad boomer that merges with the industry facilities and absorbs the electric power. On top of that, the mad boomer starts to merge with the K suits. The Knight Sabers are secretly observing this from the dark corners of the factory. Nene rushes to the main power room and disrupts the main power supply of the mad boomer by switching the factories power supply. Priss and Linna attack Mad Boomer together. Linna destroys the mad boomer's core with her hands for the first time and destroys the mad boomer. The Knight Sabers Hardsuit batteries are nearly dead after the battle and they prepare to leave. However, the AD Police suddenly start attacking them. The true purpose of the AD Police's mission is to capture the Knight Sabers. Mason and the chairman of Genom, Quincy Rosencroitz, secretly arranged the mission. The Knight Sabers try to leave, but in the middle of the attack an AD Police shot destroys Linna's foothold and she falls back into the building and right into the middle of the AD police�
Get It On
Linna is left behind by the other Knight Sabers, to make matters worse, her Hardsuit is so low on power that she can't escape. The AD Police's K suits attack Linna without mercy but Priss saves Linna from their attack. The 3 Knight Sabers rejoin and try to escape but there are too many AD Police waiting for them outside the factory. Priss try to fight them off by herself but her hard suit's battery is running dry from the tough fight with Mad Boomer. Soon, the 3 injured Knight Sabers are surround by the AD Police. Just when it looks like the end of the road for them, Sylia with her Hardsuit shows up between the other Knight Sabers and AP Police. Her powerful arm blade cut K suit into half. As the AD Police prepare to fight back an explosion in the factory distracts them. The Knight Sabers quickly use that moment of distraction to successfully escape. A few days later, a young boy visits the Silky Doll claiming that he is Sylia's younger brother, Macky Stingray. Meisio the butler is confused because he doesn't know of Sylia having a brother, but Sylia smiles and welcomes him. Macky starts living with Sylia from then. One night, Mackie finds the underground pit and meets Nigel who is maintaining a Hardsuit. Macky is impressed with Nigel's skill. He sits in the corner of the room watching him maintaining Hardsuit all night. Nigel ignored Macky at first but eventually lets him help with the maintenance.
Look At Yourself
An unmanned boomer has disappeared from a facility deep under the ocean to test boomer use in high-pressure environments. The manned "Modeslave" Boomer, referred to as a "Mode", is being developed for use on other planets without any artificial intelligence functionality. The missing Mode's driver is Bill Nordberg. Bill, along with the Mode, disappeared right after he found that his wife was having an affair while he was away. Over a month later, the missing Mode suddenly shows up in Tokyo. The Mode traveled across Pacific Ocean and heads straight for the home where Ellen is waiting for her husband to come home. The Mode finally arrives home but it witness' Ellen in the middle of something with her lover. The AD Police surround the escaped Mode in front of Bill's home but the Mode easily breaks through the surrounding AD Police and heads for the highway as it goes mad. Leon and Daley are trying locate Bill to stop the mad boomer. However, according to the testing facility's records they find, Bill died a month ago in an accident deep under the ocean. Bill's memories are transferred into the Mode and it took action by itself. Meanwhile, Nene and Priss are called out to fight the mad boomer with Linna remaining in the pit since her Hardsuit hasn't been fixed yet. However, Priss' Hardsuit malfunctions causing a problem with her hardsuit's right arm and is unable to move it during the battle. Macky comes up with an idea to solve the problem. Priss quickly destroys the mad boomer. AD Police Frontier Leon informs Ellen that it was her loving husband. Ellen breaks down in front of the Mode's broken body.
Fire Ball
There are a lot of fans gathered in the live house "Hot Legs" to listen to the band Sekiria's performance with the leading vocalist, Priss. After the show, an interviewer asks Priss "What does singing mean to you?" Priss answers, " It means confirming I am here and alive." A mad boomer shows up on a bay area road running at high speed. The mad boomer is hitting cars and gaining speed. The AD Police cars aren't fast enough to chase after the high-speed mad boomer. Sylia is unable to contact Priss while she is in the middle of her stage performance. Linna and Nene are called out for the mission. Even though they ca n match the mad boomers speed, their attacks aren't having any effect on I other than to make it go faster. About that time, Nigel notifies Sylia of the new high-speed bike "Motoslave" for Priss is completed. Priss arrives at the underground pit right after her show. She launches with the new bike and tries to crash headlong into the mad boomer but fails. She doubles back to catch up with the mad boomer and lands a successful blow. The boomer's core is destroyed. It breaks through the protective road barrier and falls into the sea. That night after the battle, Priss goes back to Hot Legs and begins singing to herself alone in the live house. She hears a clapping sound from audience seating area. She looks closer to find Linna, Nene, Mackie and Leon! Priss smiles and start singing some more.
My Nation Underground
In the last 6 months, there have been many wiring and construction boomers working in the pedestrian subway that disappeared. Mason shows his interest in the missing boomer cases and is trying to hide the truth by blocking the news to the media. Sylia also notices it and feels there is something strange going on underground. Meanwhile, Leon, who now knows that Nene is Priss's friend, tries to get some information about Priss from her. Nene is amused by the way Leon is trying to get information about Priss and is planning to match them up. But Nene recklessly tells Sylia about it while teaching Macky how to use the computer. Sylia becomes furious when she finds out that Leon is a member of the AD Police and tells Nene "If you don't understand what you are doing here, I'll have to ask you to leave. You will only hinder us if you stay!" Nene, berated by Sylia sits in the corner of the room even as she is informed about a mad boomer showing up on the street. Linna is worried about Nene and tries to ask Sylia about what happened, but Sylia coldly says to leave her alone. The 3 knight Sabers launch, but Nene is eager to try to prove she can be some help and ignores the rest of the team by attacking the boomer by herself. She even interferes with Priss's role of destroying the boomer's core. The mad boomer reacts more violently to the Knight Sabers attack and quickly captures Nene. Suddenly, the ground beneath the mad boomer's feet collapses and a giant creature emerges from the ground. The Giant Creature uses its tentacles to grab the mad boomer and starts eating it in front of the stunned Knight Sabers and AD Police.
Woke Up With A Monster
More AD Police arrive late and shine spotlights on the giant creature. The creature tries to hide from the light and escapes back underground again. The next day, Leon is angry because the AD Police are ordered to stop searching for the creature, so he confronts his chief, Nick Roland. Since the creature is not a boomer, the AD Police can't take any action against it. That reasoning does not convince Leon so he plans on going underground with Daley to investigate on their own. Priss visits the Silky Doll and suggests to Sylia that Nene should be removed from the front line. However, Sylia regrets how she treated Nene the day before and offers a bet with Priss that if Nene makes another mistake in the next battle, she will remove her as Priss suggests. But, if Nene performs better than Priss, Priss has to complete one request from Sylia. Priss accepts the bet feeling that Nene couldn't possibly out perform her. Leon and Daley manage to find the creature but are attacked by it. The Knight Sabers arrive just in time to save them. Unfortunately, Priss and Linna's attacks don't working on the creature and it catches them. Sylia realizes what this creature is by the shockwave it release to incapacitate boomers. She notices that the creature is a mutant from an old boomer research project and she rushes out to help. She is also hit by the shockwave. It is Nene who finds the weak point of the creature to save them in this crisis. A few days later, Priss who has lost the bet shows up in a very feminine dress, which Sylia chose, in front of everybody as they all tease her.
Sheer Heart Attack
Linna is notified of a mad boomer, which has shown up during her overtime working hours. She rushes to the location on her scooter but Priss destroys the mad boomer with Nene just as she arrives. Linna finds herself standing in the middle of the crowd watching as Priss and Nene leave with some complex feelings. The next day, Linna visits Nigel's bike shop when Priss is there. Linna tells Priss that she is going back to her hometown in Kumamoto Prefecture for a while. Linna's parents and relatives are gathering in her home for special occasion welcome her home. That night, as Linna is sitting on the porch to relax, her mother sits down with her and asks her to stay for another day for a arranged marriage meeting. Linna didn't expect this request, but accepts it for her mother's sake. Linna arrives unwillingly at the restaurant, but when she sees the handsome date her parents have chosen, Masaki, she blushes. Masaki and Linna go out for a walk after the lunch. Linna tells Masaki that she has found what she really want to do in Tokyo but for some reason, she can't find her foothold there. Meanwhile, a military boomer as big as a building shows up in the middle of Tokyo. Nene contacts Linna but Linna is in Kumamoto, on top of that, she has lost her confidence in being a Knight Saber, she hesitates�
Made in Japan
The giant boomer appears in the streets of the Military Defense Department. AD Police are ordered not to do anything by headquarters. The Military Defense Department is trying to solve the problem by themselves and send out another of the same model boomer to fight with the mad boomer. But the mad boomers are getting more violent each offense. Priss has to fight all alone because Linna is in Kumamoto and Nene is unable to leave her operator position at AD Police HQ. Priss can't destroy mad boomer because she can't find the core, the MDD won't open the military boomer's design specs to anyone. Nene sends a virus into MDD's server and extracts the confidential files. At the same time, Priss' Hardsuit runs out of power. Linna shows up just in time and installs a new battery in Priss' Hardsuit and they destroy the giant boomer. That night, everybody gets together at Silky Doll and Sylia asks Linna about her home. Linna answers "My home is here!" Nene starts to show some affection for Macky and searches for the Stingray family information online. She finds a 10-year-old picture of a young Sylia standing beside Macky who looks the same as he does now.
Atom Heart Mother
A boomer research institute, "Wiz Lab", organized by Sylia's father, Dr. Stingray, is buried somewhere underground by movements in the earths crust caused by the big earthquake that happened 7 years ago. Sylia visits the Chinese networks big boss, Dr. Shiang who lives in Chinatown, to gather information to find the missing research institute. Dr. Shiang is one of the investors in Wiz Lab and knew Sylia will when she was child. Sylia gets all data she needs from Mr. Shiang returns to Silky Doll to prepare her investigation with Nigel. Meanwhile, Nene who has questions about Sylia, Mackie and the Stingray family, searches for information in the AD Police central database and finds some shocking information. Dr. Stingray had no son and the huge earthquake that happened 7 years ago was caused by Genom's artificial earthquake machine in an effort to hide a mysterious accident at Wiz Lab. That night, Sylia calls the Knight Sabers up and asks them to help her to find the missing Wiz Lab. However, Nene starts asking Sylia who Macky really is and what the secret of Wiz Lab is. Sylia won't answer the questions and only apologizes to them. Nene rushes out of the Silky Doll unable to trust Sylia any more. Priss and Linna accept the mission and start searching for the Wiz Lab.
Shock Treatment
Priss and Linna don their Hardsuits every night and in their search for the location of the Wiz Lab. On their 5th night, they finally locate the lab. Priss is about to slip into the Lab but her Hardsuit battery is too low and she has to return to the pit. They convince Sylia that they should be allowed to help to destroy the Lab as soon as everything is ready. However, the next day, Sylia picks up the the microwave cannon she ordered from Dr. Shiang and she heads underground by herself. At the same time, Genom's private military force heads for the Lab as well. Priss, Linna and Nene realize that Sylia's headed to Wiz Lab on her own. Macky goes in right after them. Sylia finally enters Wiz Lab and finds a giant cocoon sealed in lead. As Sylia is about to destroy the giant cocoon by microwave cannon Mason shows up with Genom's military troops and tries to stop her, but Sylia pulls the trigger without a second thought. The overflow current generated by the "sky hook" and the cannon converts the sealed cocoon into a huge microwave. Sylia's cannon has no visible effect on the cocoon. Instead of the cocoon burning out breaking up, a young girl surround in light walks out. As this happens, Genom's military boomers go mad and the Knight Sabers, who just arrived, are unable to move after a sudden transformation. Mason takes the young girl away as Sylia is whispering, "Prime type�" in a pained voice.
Minute by Minute
The Knight Sabers' Hardsuits can't move after the mysterious transformation. All they can do is watch Mason take the young girl away. Priss and other knight Sabers eject from their Hardsuits and head for the surface. Priss goes ahead of the others to check the way but Leon shows up in front of her and realizes that she is a Knight Saber. However, Leon leaves telling Priss that he is not in duty so he won't do anything to her. Sylia is lost in a breakdown and Macky is in a coma after he physically contacted the "prime type" young girl. Nene visits Macky while Nigel is there. Nigel tells her of when he was one of the staff at the Wiz Lab. "Prime Type" is the copy of Sylia's brain, the same as Mackie. They are the proto types of all boomers. 7 years ago, the prime type began running wild in the research institute, turn other boomers mad and killing Dr. Stingray. Genom created the earthquake to prevent prime type from escaping into the public. Meanwhile, at Hot Legs, Priss realizes that the Hardsuit is a type of boomer and swears to Linna that she will never wear a Hardsuit again. Linna walk out of Hot Legs saying, "I don't want everything to end like this!" Priss ask Leon out for a ride around the bay area knowing Leon had over heard the conversation between herself and Linna. Priss and Leon gradually open up to each other talking while they ride. Suddenly, mysterious images flash through Priss' mind. At the same time the images also affect Linna, Nene and Macky.
Surrender
Priss and the other members rush to Silky Doll to find out why Sylia's memories are flashing through their minds. There they find Sylia in a coma with her chest glowing with a green light. Galatea, the prime type is interfering with Sylia's body. Sylia finally wakes up and tells everyone about another previous Knight Sabers in her past. The old members of the Knight Sabers who were fighting mad boomers alone with Sylia couldn't synchronize with the Hardsuits and were annihilated. The best candidate to wear a Hardsuit has to be female and fit a similar brainwave pattern as Sylia because she is the model for the Hardsuits. That is why Priss, Linna and Nene were chosen to be Knight Sabers. Priss is not convinced by what Sylia says and walks out of Silky Doll telling them she won't be a Knight Saber again. Linna and Nene who now know their Hardsuits are boomers are not as excited as usual when they learn that Sylia has started making new Hardsuits. The next day, at the AD Police headquarters, in the so-called Totem pole, there is a rumor that the AD Police will be re-absorbed into the normal police department. The AD Police members union is against the decision and decides to strike. Nene stays in the office and is contemplating continuing to be a Knight Saber or not. Just then, the emergency alarm sounds in the Hall, but everyone is outside striking. Mad boomers that were stored in the underground storage area mysteriously re-activate and start attacking the building. The automatic security routines in the building initiate and lock down every exit in the building. The only people left in the building are Nene, Nick and 2 others.
