The rest of us watched as his hungry face started to drool.  He walked over to the food stands and we could see a surrounding aura of pink circling the food stands and him.  He started to order one of everything in the in the midst clutter of food stands. He quickly jumped back and forth saying names of foods we’ve never even heard of.  By the end, his arms were full of boxes of food.  He wobbled over to a table and sat.  Denny looked over to us and waved at us to come over.  We started walking towards him.

“You guys could have some too.” Denny mumbled as he shoved a piece of Mexican wrap in his mouth.

We nodded and started sampling the mountain of food.  Surprisingly, Denny didn’t have bad taste in food.  We always thought whatever was edible, he’d munch down.  Jonny sat there, watching us it.  He’s a health freak so he doesn’t each fast food, just white rice.

Once we finished everything on the table, we walked through the rest of the festival.  The festival was full of game stands, confetti falling down from nowhere, people bustling at every corner and tons of balloons hovering around.  Amongst the colourful clutter, a sign could be seen.  George also spotted it.

“What’s that say? ScaSca….” George stammered.

“Scavenger hunt, you idiot.” I said.

“Let’s go! Can we? Can we?” Jonny cried like a little boy.

We all walked towards the scavenger hunt area.  This competition is to search for the a list of object we must find in the rather large dark woods a little outside the area.  The woods were said to be the Witch’s Forest, guarded by the witch herself.  It is rumoured that the witch is actually the Blair Witch herself, cutting off the tongues of passengers staying in the woods through the night.  Not surprisingly, no one signed up.  But the prize is said to be a lifetime’s supply of whipped cream, so I signed the crew up.

“So why’d you guys set up such a competition?” I asked the registrar.

“It’s tradition.  We just always had such a thing.  Actually, every object on the list was never found within the woods.  But they’re in there from a millennia ago when we first set up this competition.  The woods were actually a lot different than now, until the witch came.” The registrar replied.

“What the… I thought this was heaven!” Valiant said.

“No! There’s no such thing.  Let’s just refer it to the 5th dimension!  Everyone that passes away comes here.  But evil people, they never do wanna stay evil in the after life.  It’s just the way things are, dunno about the witch, every since the forest turned black and trees started dying, no one register for this competition.  In fact, I wouldn’t go in myself.  The witch can really torture people.  And the worse part, you guys can’t die twice!” the registrar said.

Ummmnahhh! Sign me up! I’ll do anything for the whipped cream!” I announced.

“Alright.  Please sign our death contract.”

            “Death contract? But I thought…” I asked.

“Oh! It’s just a name.  It’s actually torture/missing insurance for us.  If you disappear forever, we don’t hold any responsibility.” The registrar explained.

I took the pen and signed.  The rest refused, so while I forged their signatures on too.

“We’re all going. That’s that.  Don’t ….make… me.. spill all your …secrets to the ..world!” I said as an aura of fire surrounded the atmosphere and my eyes glowing red.

            The group shuddered and nodded.

“Thank for registering.  Here is the list of objects to find.” The registrar handed us the list.

We all went into the forest.  The forest was dark and a slight chilly.  I read the list.

“Sugar, spice and everything nice… what the hell…Shit…..there goes my lifetime’s supply of whipped cream…” I said.

A spooky howled was heard.  Denny started to shiver uncontrollably.

“Hey, is it just me or did the entrance we came in disappeared….” Salina pointed out.

Ummm… no.. the entrance was there…. But not anymore…. In fact I cant see the outside of the forest anymore! Uh oh…” I said as everyone started to glare at me.

“OH MY GAAAWWWDDDD, WE’RE GONNA DIEEEE AGAIN!!!!!” George screamed and started to cry.

“We can’t die again, just tortured and scared out of our pants!” I said with a slight chuckle.

            “I should’ve…ate more…” Denny said shaking.

Salina got ready to bring out her paper fan but stopped when she remembered I had a bigger one.

“So what are we gonna do?” Salina asked.

“Keep walking and try and find the stuff… I guess… Might as well…” I replied.

George started to whimper clutching tight onto Valiant’s shirt.  Valiant patted his head, hoping to calm him down.  It was an ugly sight.  We kept walking and looking around.  The black, rotting trees seem to be more twisted as we went deeper into the woods.  Every time we turned around, the scenery would change into more convoluted trees covering our tracks.  The sky was no longer visible from all the long braches hovering over us.  The wilted flowers covered the dry soil mixed with dead, shriveled worms.  Amongst the trees, there always seems to be a shadowy figure that would quickly skim through, following us.

“Someone’s following us.” I said, with sweat drops on the back of my head.

            “Stop, I can’t…. walk… anymore…” Denny said panting for air, “Let’s just… camp here…”

            “You’re right.” I said.

I reached in my pocket and pulled out a tent.

“How do you do that? Every time, you pulled out a large fan out of that pocket too!” Salina said.

“The after life is good. I can make anything happen! Now let’s set up the tent!” I said.

I opened the tent and it automatically transformed itself into a six person, jumbo sized tent completed with mini rooms inside, completely furnished.

            “That’s incredible!” Jonny said.

“Of course it is.” I said proudly.

I walked in and walked down a narrow hallway and took the room I liked best.  Salina unzipped a mini room door and peeked in.

“Oh my god! There’s even a little blowup couch and a mini tv!” Salina said.

Our’s has a PS2!” George and Valiant said together.

Uhhh… mine has fridge. Wow! Ice cream!” Denny said.

            “I know, I know. I’m awesome.” I said, “I’m gonna sleep, nite.”

Everyone was too excited to pay attention to me.  Not knowing what my room had.  My room had a laptop, TV, PS2 and a pile load of other entertainment products along with a fridge!

“This is the life.” I said.

Everyone was busy in their rooms playing, watching TV and eating.  George and Valiant decided to stay in the same room for whatever reason so we had an extra room available.  Late into the night, we all fell asleep.
