Divination with a Pendulum
For people who have never scried this is a good way to start divination. It's good for if you need yes/no answers, and it's very easy to make your own pendulum.

How to make a pendulum:
Get a small object that is personal to you. It might be a key, a ring, an earring, a stone with a whole in it or a necklace. I use a crystal necklace. If you are using an object put it on a piece of string about the length of your forearm. I've found that pendulum divination works best if the object is personal to you, so just buying a necklace with a stone on the end won't work as well as your house key on a bit of string.

How to do it:
I usually start off by drawing a cross with a ruler on a piece of paper, divine over a flat surface like a table.
The first time you use your pendulum you'll need to find out which way is yes and which way is no. Rest your elbow on the table and hold your pendulum between your thumb and index finger. Let the pendulum dangle for a few moments, it should stay still. Start off by asking a question like 'Am I the Queen of England?', be patient, the pendulum should start to either swing in an anti-clockwise or clockwise direction, or it may swing from left to right, or forwards and backwards. Which ever way it swings you know indicates no.
Then ask it 'Is my name (insert your name)?' and it should swing in another direction (usually opposite the the no direction), this is the direction for yes.
You can then ask your pendulum yes/no questions, sometimes it might swing more violently or not swing at all. Divination works best if you are focused and concentrating. You could do some breathing exercises or meditation beforehand to help this.

Using your pendulum to develop telekinesis:
Start by holding your pendulum still for a while, then slowly will it to move clockwise. Imagine this happening. Be patient, this may take a while, you must concentrate very hard for this to happen. After a while it should start to move, and probably gain speed. After a while, will it to stop and slow down. I find it usually takes longer to slow down than it did to start up, bring it to a complete halt. Don't worry if this doesn't work the first time! Keep at it, and like all things, it gets easier with practice.
