WHY GAMBLING SUCKS
Why Gambling sucks:
1.   No such thing as intuition. No feelings, urgings, knowings, or luck. As an atheist I  know no supernatural, physic force exists.
2.   NOTHING IS EVER "DUE"! No Predictive strategy. Odds never pile up. This is the Gambler's fallacy. Dice, or a roulette ball have no memory. (Card-counting with Blackjack is the only exception).***REFER TO THE BOTTOM FOR AN EXPLAINATION OF THE DECEPTIVE GAMBLER'S FALLACY"***
3.   No effective systems exist on roulette, craps, or other games of chance. Systems merely trade small wins for big loses. No matter your strategy, results will always degenerate toward the Expected Value. (Counting cards on blackjack changes the situation, giving you a slight advantage. But card counting is hard to master, esp. with 6 decks.  See #4 for reason why even this, the only effective system is still a bad deal.) Vegas love people who want to try out systems, because Vegas normally takes them for thousands!
4.   Even if their were no house advantage. The house would always win! Why? Theorem states that in any game of chance the person with the most money to start will always last longer. (The person who lasts longer takes all, because when your out of money you have to stop). the law of big numbers -- the principle that when people of equal skill play a game of chance, the ones with the most money will win.  Picture your winning and losing streaks as a the sin graph- You go up, you go down, you go up, you go down, except if you go just a little too far down the casino gets to keep all your money, since you can no longer bet and you've run out of money. This is true even if you count cards on blackjack! Card counting with blackjack also sucks because if your any good at it, the casinos mark you, so that you can not play anymore (of course during the learning curve you will lose your ass, and even after master you will often lose).
5.   The casino's higher shill betters! They hirer people to gambling the casino's $$$!!, so that real betters will follow their shitty example!
6.   Games take your $$ so fast, people are inclined to double down to recover!
7.   The Free Drinks cause people to lose their inhibitions, so that they throw their money at the casino.
8.   Your expected to tip the dealer and waitresses.
9.   Gambling borders on fraud, since few people understand 1-8. People play on false impressions and LOSE EVERYTHING!

IN SUMMARY, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BEAT THE CASINOS! OR EVEN MODESTLY WIN. THERE ARE OTHER WAYS TO FIND HAPPINESS AND GET WHAT YOU WANT IN LIFE. GAMBLING IS FOR LONELY MIDDLE-AGED LOSERS.
Gambler's Fallacy- why the odd's don't change:
Absolute probability: head or tails? .5 odds.
Sequential probability: H,H,H,H,H .55 of occurring. BUT THIS PREDICTS NOTHING! Why? This describes a random occurance, but if your at a gambling table- waiting for streaks to occur, then gambling against them, the streaks are no longer random! Lets say you walk up on a roulette black streak and you bet against it:
B,B,B,B,B,B what are the odds of for the next one?

A: while the odds of B,B,B,B,B,B occurring are rare (.56), this tells us nothing about the next one. B,B,B,B,B,B,B is equally as rare as B,B,B,B,B,B,R! They both have an equally low probability of (.57)! Although, it's actually not so rare, since you sat around and waited on the streaks to beat against them.

Dice/ roulette ball are independent, they have no memory, or predictive features. Nothing is ever "due"! the odds never change!!! People think they do, giving them a false impression! They bet and lose big.

Question: which sequence is more rare:
BBBB
BBBT
BBTB
BTBB
TBBB
BBTT
BTBT
TBBT
BTTB
TBTB
TTBB
BBTT
BTTT
TBTT
TTBT
TTTT
???

Answer they are all equally improbable. As you can see TTTT, and BBBB aren't any more improbable than any of the other outcomes. They all will occur with a frequency of 1/16.
