Ryan when he has not fed on blood is assumed to have regular, limited abilities. However when he has fed on blood his abilities - most notedly his strength, durability and speed; can raise to superhuman to abnormal to demi-godly (depending on how much blood consumed. Assumed if Ryan were to drain one person of blood entirely he would enter a state of almost uncontrollable frenzy). Ryan willingly keeps himself supressed and controlled by taking a government prescribed medication that nullifies his blood-lust.

Interesting Fact: Ryan is blind during the day without a special pair of sunglasses he carries with him. His skin is also very sensitive to the UV rays of the sun. These are both the result of his upbringing in the perpetual darkness of the Vampire Sector.
Ryan King was born in Vampire Sector of Endless, under the permanant black sky. A pure-blood born of two Vampire parents (whom were also pure-bloods), this status give him tremendous political power. The government of Endless was interested in the "purest" of each race and they quickly drafted him into the Endless Army.
Ryan impressed all that observed him and quickly became part of the Endless Intelligence Agency, specializing in the investigation of the three underground armies in Endless; Seele's Academy, Stephanie's Academy and "The Underground".
He knows who's who and what's what. With the collapse of Seele's Academy, Ryan has found himself deeply involved in all the activities going on.. and possibly being put in the situation where he might have to break that "third wall" and become personally involved in that which he has investigated.
Ryan's eyes are EXTREMELY light sensitive and he must wear special sunglasses in order to walk around in the daytime (this due to his upbringing in the permanantly dark Vampire Sector). He must also apply a special "liquid skin" to his body to protect his skin from the UV rays of the sun (he does not like doing this so he usually sleeps or stays inside during the day). Also, Ryan willingly underwent Government experiments to remove his "Vampirism." After a few experiments the Government learned they couldn't erase "Vampirism" from a pure-blood without killing him/her so they discovered a way to supress a lot of Ryan's "Vampirism" to the point where it is hardly a factor in his life via medication he must take daily.
Still, Ryan sports a nasty set of fangs that makes most vampires uncomfortable and gets antsy at the sight of blood. Since the medication does not supress his hunger for blood, Ryan feeds on small animals to quench his thirst.
