Mason is Ducan's crazy but very fimrly rooted son. He loves living the youthful life of loud music, mind altering substances and parties that end when the sun comes up - but he also loves his father and mother, keeps his sex to people he is in a relationship with and promises to end his lifestyle the minute he marries.
Be that as it may, Mason isn't exactly looking to settle down just yet.
Duncan and Amanda had Mason a number of years ago, when Duncan had almost finished his training and Amanda had just become of adult age. Knowing the harsh rules against these things, they raised the boy in secret and later outside the village entirely since Duncan and Amanda had access to the outside world.
Mason lives in the Paradise section of Endless, which is infamous for its thieves and beaches. Meeting a gang there headbanging to hardcore punk, Mason found his calling.
Though he doesn't know the true details of it, Mason met with one of his father's friends - Jude when his father came along for his regular visit. Though Mason tried to pry Jude for any info on his father, it was a no-go. "One day", Duncan said. One has to wonder what Mason's reaction will be when he finds out his father isn't the boring "Boy Scout" he thought.
