Boyd is the older brother of Colin, thought dead in the accident that cost both Amelia and Colin's the remains of their families. The animosity between the two brothers has stemmed from birth, as Boyd was viewed as the "good son," and Colin was obviously the "heathen child."
Boyd always rubbed every one of Colin's faults in his face and made sure he felt guilty for showing up at their father's funeral.. which incidentally caused the accident that occured that day to happen.
Boyd was the sole survivor that day, having to witness his entire family's death, including the death of his wife. While Boyd was healing the elders repeatedly questioned the much traumatized Formorian about the day. Boyd could not gather the mental strength to recall what happened, but the elders took it as an act of defiance and labeled Boyd as a traitor. Boyd was branded and left ousted from the Formorian community, never fully recovered from the events that took place.
After physically healing up, Boyd distracted himself by playing Football.. and was eventually drafted into the official Endless team where he continues playing. He was reunited with his brother after that horrible day and now tries to take everything one day at a time.
Recently, Boyd was reuinted with his son Trent. The father and son now see each other quite often, as Trent accompanies Duncan on ventures out under the guise of 'studying the outside world'.
