Interesting Fact: Alex is a well-known model in Endless, appearing in several billboards and ads all over. He publicly admits that he is a trained killer, but the media of Endless have turned his dangerous profession into something to bank on.
This is David's little boy.. now all grown up. The little lad followed his father's footsteps completely, learning the ropes as he grew up, learning how to seperate his feelings completely from any sort of relative relationship.. including any relationship with his father.
Alex never called his father by any paternal title, he called him David. He was brought up in the world of monetary value on people's lives, and as such doesn't have the same sense of "right and wrong" as others. What's right to him is how much he can get out of killing this person, what's wrong is if someone cashes in the bounty before he can.
Much like David, Alex was left on his own the minute his teenage years hit. He's been on his own since 13, and as such is very much jaded as a result.
Sean never mentioned Alex to his children because of whom Alex's mother is. Elizabeth gave birth to Alex after an affair with David.. much to Sean's chagrin. Sean vowed that he would kill the baby if he ever layed eyes upon it, and Elizabeth would not have it.. so she let the baby live with David.
Much like his father, Alex's danger doesn't come from any sort of ability.. it comes from his lack of regard for any sort of life. If the price is right he will go for the kill; man, woman or child.
