This song I wrote in memorial of a very powerful elder and medicine man who honored me in council with him. Kind of like my psycological, spiritual, and all around mentor... You can always tell a powerful elder for it seems they can look right into your soul and tell you all about yourself without you even saying a word. yea yea... mystic I know but there was one night I remember very vividly where he turned around on me and basically chastised me and told me in a round about way to get my shit back together. In my breakdown this was probably the true breaking point... because I realized then I wasn't playing around anymore. I was on a one way trip to destruction with nothing to stop or hold me. This was also the same night I rose to make my vow to complete the Sundance... which I have every intention of doing so... Even though you can find me going crazy at times its all in fun and cutting loose to a point... For this elder has had a very profound impact on me... so if one wants to say I was soul searching I guess you can say I found it and started my long journey back... I still wonder if I am on that same journey still... but none the less these words are the round a bouts...
