heh... I was at work talking with a co-worker about those love ad newspapers... you know the single female wants single man things... Anyhow, we was laughing at a few of the ads when something was said that kind of struck me curiously... he said he should answer one of the ads because it sounds like his ex... I just kinda looked at it and laughed but said what if that really happened... what if you like put an ad in and find that an ex-girlfriend or wife answered it... that could be messed up or that could be neat considering the situation... I really thought about this the rest of the day as I went about my work. when I got home I just had to write a song about this... so... heh... here it is... I call this tale...

SEPARATED AND LOOKING

Things didn't look well for his marriage and he was alone
Looking at the paper that said for love pick up the phone
It was easy for him to fall in love but no one seem to fit
All his relationships lasted for a couple months and that was it
Never seem to be able to find that perfect soul mate
He knew his time was coming where it would be too late
To find that perfect someone who could share his life
He decided to answer a classified ad one lonely night

(CC1)
Separated and looking
Only if you know what true love means
Separated and looking
Could it be you meet me tonight at the caf
Separated and looking
There we can meet and have coffee
Separated and looking

The ad said left a man who lost all fun to his work
Long have I waited and now I want to end my search
If you like camping and fishing then send me a letter
Possible lasting relationship for worse or even better
If you like excitement on the open town and the show
Then send me a message and time to let me know
I need love and companionship and looking with no avail
For all my relationships don't work and in the end fail

(repeat CC1)

It sounded like a perfect woman the one he wants
He would meet this wonderful woman at all costs
He was answered to meet for coffee at a local lounge
He was looking for a woman wearing a blue gown
When he got there surprise was found on a familiar face
For he found his ex lover setting in the agreed place
They looked at each other from way across the room
Old flames that may have burned out too soon

(repeat CC1)
