Sometimes I wonder just how destructive or constructive I am compared to others within my scope of thinking... I have always been one that always seems to pull off some pretty big ventures and alot of times it seems I barely make it or pull through when the last chip is about to fall. Sometimes I don't even understand it... its just something in my blood that tells me I can't stop until I drop... and the quick rewards just are not worth the time and day... I guess I am too intense... even for my own understanding...

QUICK REWARDS

When life is up I can only find ways to keep myself down
And when the light shines upon me the silence is so loud
And then it all comes like a breeze a crash course in penance
Grasping on and holding when all around it makes no sense
Planning malicious way of life to make that final stand
Yet it always seems it never comes and slips my hand
To accept the profound when the best is always there to be had
If anyone thinks that I can let it go then I must be truly mad

(cc1)
And I learned as I burned
And turned where I was concerned
And you can't jump when you want it
You just can't jump when you want it
And find that there is nothing really there
And be a sucker for the quick rewards
Sucker for the quick rewards

Material has no meaning when it has no subject behind
And the urge gets stronger and it feels right for the time
The games move on leaving one chance to stay alive
And the fight starts deep inside me and its all do or die
Security in pride confidence built on pure confidence
Sometimes its hard to live through the suspense
When everything you have is the best you can find
Knowing you always succeed can make you lose your mind

(repeat cc1)

Can you feel the flames burning
Can you feel the flames burning
Consume me and free me
Consume me and free me
Or let this heart be still for the last time

Oh how they tried to break me
Cannot make me see
Cannot make me need
No sucker for the quick rewards

(repeat cc1)
