This song is kinda a dedication to my ex-wife. not that I would make it a point to get her to read it but this song holds a pretty good deal of my feelings... It was rather tough for me to write this because in a way I had to rely on past feelings. A place I don't like to go because it holds higher stakes then what some people are aware of... for example my son... So in a way I wrote this song for vastly two parts... one as a personal reminder to myself why I got up and took off so that I don't get stupid and start wondering if I should go back.. while the last part is my plea for my son... For in vast part I can honestly say that I am slowly being torn away as a father in my own terms "on purpose" for my son don't even get to see any part of his family on my side... but life must go on for it is no longer my fight... Its my son's...

PIECE AND GO

You made me cry
You told me lies
Twirled me around
And sneaked about
You took my son
And left me on the run
Took me all about
Then kicked me out
Times have all changed
And I just ain't the same
I could be angry but I can't even do that now
I'm so worn down emotional I don't know how

(cc1)
Go in peace
Or just piece and go
Go in peace
Or just piece and go

You robbed me
You refused to see
Sold my sons family
Destroyed my dream
Forced me to hate
Never did you relate
Used me all down
Then broke our vow
Ran off all my friends
Got me drinking again
Today you tell me that you replaced me that was fast
But it don't surprise me we did the same thing in the past

(repeat cc1)

before I left remember when I pointed my son to the fires in the sky
it just goes to prove to you that you can see the sun and never see the light
So as I stand here watching the thunder roll I plead for my sons life
For it is you that hold him in one arm and in the other hand is the knife
Choose your own path but don't choose the innocent ones for him
Let the young one live and pay for the price for your own sin

(repeat cc1)
