I wrote this song while I was in Sheridan. I guess in a way it was my way of jumping clear. The loss of my friends so close together threw me for a pretty good loop. I guess going to sheridan was the way I ran from it all. This song has a little of all of them in it and it was at the time I started to deal. unlike some of the other songs previous to it I feel this is where I really did stop and deal with it all.

CRADLE OF FAITH

you always talked how to hold it together
just hang in it will pass we can get there
the party was always there to greet us
memories remain ash to ash dust to dust
in da goda divida and let it all pass
if we need a power nap its time to crash

(cc1)
So this is how we say goodbye to romance
by rockin
slowly rocking the
Cradle of Faith

was it really hard to admit it straight out
that we maybe on fire but also burning out
even though we all had scares that would fade
and somehow the memories outlived the jokes we made
I feel myself slipping in the eyes of those behind
so I set searching out your paths that I can't find

maybe its not a good thing perhaps
that my tears dry so carry on there chaps
picking up the peices is like grabbing broken glass
it cuts to the bone and reminds me of the past
the strings hurt like hell even through the heat
the stand grabs my heart till I cannot breath

so keep rockin my friends till the end
because the dreams died the passion never did
keep rockin
